I am hoping you can help me clarify a few things please....
first we check in on 9/26 until 10/4 at POR with regular dining plan and park hopper tickets (already booked and paid for). then we found out the TOT weekend starts on 10/4 so we added 10/4 - 10/6 with quick service dining plan and park hopper tickets (already booked and paid for). two separate reservations.
if I already booked would I still be able to get the free dining? if so, do I just call disney or do I have to go through my travel agent. or am I totally out of luck?I believe if I qualify that it would be for the first trip only?
thank you...
So I am going oct 15-21 what should I do to take advantage of FD offer this is our first time ever and with two kids as you all know it is an investment. I plan on doing grocery service to try to cut down on food cost for at least lunch and breakfast
Where are you staying? Are you aware or the refrigerator issue?
This is crappy. We had scheduled to go Dec 7-14 and now we are screwed. Might be a change of location now since it will be $1000 more.
youll get it.....as long as one of your days falls under the plan you get it![]()
That's how I understand it as well. I chatted with a CM through the website and was advised of the same thing. Our trip is Dec 7-14. We are counting on it.
Free dining is all about your check in date. No other days matter. You MUST check in on a date of the promotion to have free dining for your entire stay (up to 14 days). If your check in date falls outside the promo dates, you aren't eligible for the package....even if other days of your trip are in the date range.
If a CM told you differently, they are incorrect and the system wouldn't let them book it for free dining.
Sorry but I hope this helped.
Free dining will be extended beyond September. Bookings for these dates will begin August 1. As usual, Disney Visa holders should have a few days notice to book early, likely on July 29. The dates are below: September 29 - October 2 October 18 - November 2 November 11 - 23 December 12 - 22 As usual, certain room types are excluded, such as campsites at Ft. Wilderness, 3-bedroom villas, and the Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation. A 3 night minimum stay (14 night maximum) and two day minimum park ticket is required for each person in the party. Disney Value Resorts ~ Quick Service Dining Plan Included (can be upgraded to regular plan) All-Star Movies Resort All-Star Music Resort All-Star Sports Resort Pop Century Resort Art of Animation Resort (excluding Little Mermaid rooms) Moderate Resorts ~ Regular Dining Plan Included Carribean Beach Resort Coronado Springs Resort Port Orleans Resort French Quarter and Riverside Deluxe Resorts ~ Regular Dining Plan Included Animal Kingdom Lodge Yacht & Beach Club Resorts BoardWalk Inn Contemporary Resort Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Polynesian Resort Wilderness Lodge Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts ~ Regular Dining Plan Included Bay Lake Tower Animal Kingdom Villas Beach Club Villas BoardWalk Villas Old Key West Resort Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa The Villas at Disneys Wilderness Lodge Fort Wilderness Cabins A word of thanks as well to Dave at **************. He and I have had continued discussions on this topic for some time and shared much insight on the Free Dining promotions both in September and beyond.
Just tried calling as a Disney Visa Card Holder, and there are no free dining as if Today
So much for reliable sources.![]()

Just because this is how it has usually worked in the past does not guarantee that is what the rules will be in the future for any hypothetical discount. People would get a lot less freaked out about this kind of stuff if we stuck to confirmed fact instead of talking about things that have not happened or been announced as though they are fact. At the very least, we should be responsible and be clear that we are talking about what has ☆usually☆ been the case instead of stating rules that don't actually exist yet as though they are confirmed fact. I've spent the morning calming down clients who believed everything written here as gospel and are disappointed that it didn't materialize yet. We really need to be more responsible about how we qualify things, folks.
