free dining in Sept ?????

hi all-

Just have a few ???? in case they offer free dining again in Sept.

Last year I purchased the trip all together. In other words, I called disney for tickets and room and got free dining.

1) Can I just book the room with Disney and then get tickets elsewhere and still qualify for free dining? Or does it have to be a package?

2) If I look into getting a dvc villa through disney instead of renting points will I qualify for free dining? Not sure if this is even worth it...but thought I'd ask before doing the leg work

P.S. I called and spoke with a CM yesturday and he said it is "likely" that they would offer free dining in Sept!!!!!!!!! Have to wait and see but sounds good to me. Maybe he felt bad for me b/c I was complaining about getting nothing about a bounceback in Sept in my room and that I didn't get any codes sent to me for 40% like so many others did...who knows?????? I'm not 100% sure if they know.

1) I believe you need to purchase a pkg unless you are a dvc or ap holder 2)you would qualify if staying at DVC if you pay rack rate for the villa...Hope this helps.

You will need to buy a least a one day base ticket for each person to get the free DDP (as long as the same rules apply this year as the last 3 years) This is what my family has always done.
