Free Dining in January?

I think i remember there being free dining in january. I was wondering if i was dreaming this.. Or if it was true.. Has anyone heard it happening this january..

If only! Free dining promotion has been limited to August/Sept timeframe.

you would think they would try that promotion in january to attract more visitors.. even though i like how less crowded it is in january

I think it would be impractical: Figure they don't really need to start it until January 7, because that's the beginning of the week after New Years (and a good number of people will take that whole week off -- New Year's is Tuesday this year). However, by January 18, the hotels begin filling up with convention guests. Backing up 10 days (since you can check in on the last day of the free dining promotion and get free dining for the first 10 days of your reservation), that puts them back at January 8. So basically, they can run free dining for two nights in January. That's not going to do anyone any good.

I don't think we will ever see Free Dining in January. As a matter of fact, I don't think it will ever be offered at any time other than in August/September. It's all about the possible hurricanes and school starting.

Doesn't make sense. They get an after Holiday crowd the first week. The second weekend is the marathon which brings in a good crowd. Then you have MLK day, which brings in a few more.
