Free Dining in August

Just wondering if anyone knew what the chances of there being free dining in August of this year and when you think the discounts will be out? Thank you!!

I was thinking the same. I was going to rent points from Davids vacation club rentals. If I can get free dining I think I would go with that.

There has been a free dining discount in August for the last 8 years, and that timeframe is still considered to be the height of hurricane season, so I would assume they will release free dining for August again this year. The August/September free dining dates are usually released in late March/early April. I would say the chances are high as canadian had August dates available when free dining was available to book prior to december 31. Us and canadian are most often then none the same when it comes to free dining. If I remember correct it was from August 19-sept 29

No, that timeframe has the lowest resort rates of the year. To get an idea of how much a Free Dining trip will be, just go to the WDW website and price out a trip and don't include the dining plan - just your package with resort rooms and tickets. That would be the price of your trip with a free dining discount.

I have booked my 2012 August free dining package thru my TA. Price was same as disney.com.

Can you book now and then add the FD later if free dining is announced during that time? Or, do you have to wait until it is announced to book and have the FD added to your booking?

You can book now and get the free dining added once its announced. But i would call AS SOON as the announcement is made! Dont wait, otherwise you may not get the resort you were hoping for.
