Free dining, historically?

Hello - this is my first time starting a new thread and I'm a bit nervous. Please be gentle.

Historically, is free dining offered about the same time, every year? From what I've seen, it seems that it is. We are trying to plan a trip for 2013 and my husband's job isn't very flexible with vacation time. He needs to pick his vacation time for 2013 in October 2012, then it is approved in November 2012. So, my dilemma is that I am trying to "guesstimate" when Free Dining is going to be offered at the end of September 2013.

Is Sunday, September 29 and pretty good guess?

It's usually not advised to plan a trip far in advance around specific dates for free dining - if you do not plan to go without the free dining. If you're going to go whether you get free dining or not, then you can take a shot, but remember that there's no way to accurately anticipate free dining offer dates more than a year in advance.

That's all this is really, just a shot. We plan to go at that time anyway (DD's birthday that week, parks are decorated for Fall) and although I am budgeting to pay full price for everything, it would be nice to have an idea if we were going to catch free dining. If so, MNSSHP would be in the budget

If you book with Dream Unlimited (owners run this site) then if there is a price drop they will give it to you. In 2010 Dreams notified us 2 months before our trip that we were going to be saving $700 due to a special. June 2012 we saved $2800. I will never go to WDW without having them book my trip. Plus they make all my ADR's
So if you book with them they will help you convert if free dining becomes available. We are going also next year in October. I am going to try to pick a week and hope we get free dining also, but if not oh well.
