Free Dining for October 2012

I am sure this has been asked; but I couldnt find it. So I am asking for help.

Last year we were offered free dining for our October trip. This year we would like to go back to one of the Epcot Resorts but we cant afford it without some sort of discount. I am hoping for free dining or a PIN Code.

If they offer free dining for October does anyone remember when that came out last year?

We were there sept 17 to 23 2011 so last fall. And it was sometime in Aug they also came out with the free dining for that fall season.

OK need to figuer this out or get some educated guesses. I have some airline credits that will expire if not bought by May 27. We had planned on booking Disney Oct. 21-28. Then we hear about FD and things look good. Now Im hearing about blackout dates near our planned time. Unfortunately one possible blackout is near the Gartner Symposium thing on 21-25. Last year the FD started Oct. 22nd. Getting dizzy yet, me too. Any thoughts, should we continue with the 21-28 or bump it to 20-27th?

Yes it is confusing we are going to arrive Oct 14th. I believe if you start your vacation when the free dining comes out you can get the free dining. But if your first day is before the free dining starts I dont think you can get it. I have been told the 2nd and third week have no discounts or free dining which is when we want to go I think your time frame will work out give or take a day to be able to get the free dining. Maybe someone else knows more I hope and can help.

I have an idea.... could you book 20th-28th, wait for free dining then decide to take a day off the front or end of your vaca?

Just curious where you heard this? Isn't it to early to know for sure? I'll be there on Oct 14th also.

They are going on last years 2011 blackout dates, which were those weeks. Hopefully it wont be the same this year.

Last year there were no dates during the Gartner Symposium that had any sort of discount to be applied.
