Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

Values are typically 15% off unless they have the extra where if you stay so many nights it bumps it to 20%. Also remember it's off just the room price, not tickets.

So at a value resort that's probably nowhere near the value of the free dining plan. I think the room for our dates comes out to around $1200, or something like that. 15% off would only save us $180.

Yeah, Room discount on values is not a great discount. We save more with Free Dining. But we get hoppers anyways.

So I remember in 2013 this post ended having to be closed and parts 2, 3 and so on had to be created. Anyone know what I will have to do to close it? Or do I just create a part 2 and this one will close itself?

Just create a part 2 when this one gets close to 250 pages.

Plenty of fun to catch up on tonight! DS had a double header, so of course I couldn't stay caught up!

I'm loving the post about NOT having to add PH or WPF&M!! That is fantastic news! :yay:

Talked to my TA friend and she says you will NOT have to have park hoppers ;)

Yay! That didn't make much sense, of course since I mentioned it to my daughter she said "oh I like the idea of having park hoppers, it really does make more sense"...nope not gonna happen chickadee, this is a semi budget trip.

This thread has been great fun to follow, last year the free dining early canadian dates were not released until the third week of JUNE well after the release of the rest of the promo! Really hope i do not have to wait an extra 6 weeks to find out .:hyper2:

IF the Rumor comes true of needing to add either park hopper or water parks, try to check the park hours before making your decision which to choose, especially those traveling in September. Park hours are greatly reduced during this quieter time of year.

We have a 9 night trip booked in Sept and 7/9 of those nights the latest park closing time is 9:00 at Epcot with other parks closing earlier. If you tend to book 5:00 or later dinner reservations and think you'll switch parks after supper, it may not be an option. I opted out of adding the park hopper after reviewing the hours.

I'm sure it will still be a good option for many, just wanted to mention what I'd encountered.

Keep in mind that park hours for September will be adjusted in August once crowd levels are better known. The schedules realeased initially are very limited.

Just to add the park hopper or because of having to upgrade from Value on multiple rooms? Adding park hopper for 4+ Day base ticket is $68.18 per ticket so for 10 tickets that would be $681.80 total increase to add park hopper to all of them.

Thanks for trying to help me do the math. I was also trying to add in there what it would cost if the December 21 cut off rumor was true as well. There has been speculation that for those of us traveling in December, free dining would only be applied up until December 21, and then we would be required to pay for the remaining days. So if we are checking in on December 19, we would only receive the first two days. I was trying to calculate the additional cost of 7 days of the QSDP + park hopper to see what we would pay for two days of "free" dining. My math could still be wrong, but I know it's more than what we were hoping for!

I know it's not really that big of a deal, but it has dampened my initial free dining excitement. Hopefully, the fine print of the rumor proves to not be true. I'm sure things will work out in the end. They always do!

Well it didn't come today so tomorrow is the last day it can come before Monday... *fingers crossed* :crazy2:
You're thinking about this wrong. It can come tomorrow, Monday, Tues, or Wed and you'll still beat Thurs' GP release.

You've got lots of potential mail dates to get a DV advantage. Don't sweat tomorrow.

Yeah I know, I just can't help being worried that they will sell out with DV card holders too.

Quick question on the park hopper. So I'm doing a 5 day ticket and hopper is $68 a ticket; that means just one cost of $68, not that cost for each day, right?
