Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

So if I check in November 7th, I can't get Free Dining unless I do a split stay?

I kind of have a hunch that one of the ways Disney is trying to slowly ween people off Free Dining is by dramatically reducing the number of standard rooms available for the promotion. As our plans changed around last year, we had public FD at CBR, then UOC FD at POR, then UOC FD at POFQ. We booked all these as soon as they were available to us, and checked back many times, and we never once saw any standard rooms available. Even our Bounceback for this year at POFQ didn't have an option for booking a standard room. I'll be curious to know if anyone is able to get FD in standard rooms this year...

I think you have a good point/hunch. Makes sense. In 2013 we were unable to get a standard with FD in time and ended up needing to book a preferred with FD instead.

Yes you would need to do a split stay. If it starts on the 8th.

We are already booked For our first trip 10/3-10/8 at Pop. I was unaware of FD opportunities when I booked.....with that being said we are flexible with our dates....but we are flying. Anyone have an idea of what penalties I may encounter trying to switch flights?? TIA

if i check in Sunday, Nov 8 and check out Sunday, Nov 22 ... this would be 14 nights, 15 days ... this is the maximum for FD, correct?

Depends entirely on your airline- most will give you some sort of penalty but allow you to switch and pay the difference.

For some it doesn't pull up on google. I'm one of the some lol. And I don't have a Facebook myself so I can't look it up that way but it use to come up when you googled Disney by joe. Seems like he changed a privacy setting maybe and it doesn't pull up as easy, but he's there just gta dig a little more

According to the rumor, Free Dining could be released on April 27 for Disney Visa holders, and May 1 for the General Public.

The rumor also suggests the promotion will be available for bookings of Aug 15-Oct 2, Oct 25-31, Nov 8-19, and Dec 15-21. Deluxe and Moderate Resorts will receive the regular dining plan, while Value Resorts will receive the quick service dining plan. Excluded resorts include All Star Movies, Port Orleans French Quarter, Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation, and various Villas. Port Orleans Riverside is only included during the period of Aug 15-Oct 2 and excluded for the other dates.

If the rumor holds true, beginning on April 27, you can call 407-934-7639 and ask for the Free Dining offer. You'll have to put at least a $200 deposit on your Disney Visa to qualify. Minimum 3 night stay, with a 14 night maximum.
