CBR has just had new room renos . . . and it looks great. Darker wood & colours but still new & clean. Check out the CBR thread on the boards for pics and updates.Yes you're reading it correctly (although it is still a rumor). Based on what I've read POR is the most popular but didn't CBR go through some renovations or something?
this is exactly why we are going with Sports.Last year ASSp was the only value resort I consistently saw available online for the free dining deal.
I was booked for CBR this past February but had an early am international flight out of Orlando so realized I would have to get to the distant bus pickup at approx 3 am. In the dark. And CBR is really spread out and I didn't know where my standard room would be located. I could have tried to arrange for a pickup golf cart but didn't have much confidence in it because it was the middle of the night. Since I knew I would worry about it my whole trip, I switched to AS Music. Yes, there have been a few snake issues at CBR. It has a lot of water and mature growth vegetation so this is to be expected. It is central Florida. However, I just decided I didn't want to deal with anything at 3 am. I blame my crappy international Air Canada flight. Never CBR. Its a beautiful resort.I have been told both a re good resorts to go to. We originally booked at CBR, but then at my DD's dance class the one mom came back and said there were snakes all over the place (take that for what it is worth), which freaked me out beyond belief. I checked the next day and PORGV was open so I booked that. We only went with CBR in the first place because of availability and the DW and DDs wanted the beach.
I'll remember that! I was at ASMovies last year, and we got stuck in a lot of rain. And the buses were always full, after going to two resorts first. So I learned my lesson not to stay there, because even at a lower crowd time it was still pretty bad.
Yes, but the difference this year, is that we know where it is coming from, why the rumor would be this way, etc. There is no "Black" scapegoat for folks to get mad at!! This is all good, exciting, and sounds like much more pleasant and lack of testiness!!! (so far)Keep in mind...this is STILL RUMOR!!!
If Movies is excluded, I'm glad we switched hotels then. We were originally booked for AS Movies (loved it in 2013), but decided to make the switch to AS Sports since movies seems to be excluded from discounts lately. I'm now trying to come up with a plan B and C in case I can't get FD at AS sports.
If we move up to a moderate, we can still get the QSDP free, right? I know the TSDP is a better deal, but we still might go with QS (we like the freedom it brings rather than planning around dinner reservations).
I wonder why my offer was a $200 statement credit instead of a gift card.
Sorry if this has been covered; I'm at work and I'm only able to pick up on bits of pieces of information between jobs:
1) "Booking on 4/27" obviously is referring to Visa cardholders? The general public obviously has to wait a bit longer, I assume?
2) I assume the policy of "As long as your check-in date falls within the dates free dining is offered, your entire trip is covered" still holds true, right? Check in for us would be 11/14, but we'd be leaving on 11/21, two days after the free dining offer has ended.
Moderates get table service plan, not the QSDP, there isn't a choice. Unless it has changed and I missed the change.
The boat thing is nice... But the pool does look nicer!!!I like that you can take a boat to Downtown Disney from POR, but I like the rooms and pool better at CBR.
I hope so, because I have to work at 8:00 tomorrowI hate this waiting......so does everyone think this Monday at 7 am?
