Free Dining Extension ~ Oct-Dec

Will you have a car or were you planning on magical express? We stayed offsite one night on a prior trip and one whole trip we stayed at an offsite timeshare. Nothing to write home about, so I don't have any recommendations, but I am sure you can save a lot by staying offsite the extra night.

We are driving, which helps!! :)

Thank you! We have a groupon going around right now. It is for international Palms resort and conference for only $48 a night! Have you seen this one?

I haven't, but that's a great rate! I would definitely check out Trip Advisor to get some real world opinions.

Oh, and I just saw that Royal Plaza is undergoing major renovations, so that's something to keep an eye on for your dates. You don't want everything to be torn apart while you're staying there. That hotel has already been completely remodeled once after a hurricane ripped it apart. I don't know exactly what they're working on now. I really liked that place though. It was within walking distance from Downtown Disney, although it wasn't a short walk.

I will try trip advisors. is it just trip advisors.com ?

Sorry, those were the exact dates I was checking. They only had POR and Wilderness Cabins, AKL and Saratoga Springs.:sad2:

Boo! Hopefully there is some truth to something I read about PIN code rooms and general public offer rooms being held back. Does that make sense? Probably not. I blame Pop warner!

If there's no availability then I can let go of trying for the PIN....I'm driving myself crazy.

Lol You and me both. Now I am back to being frantic. If there is nothing available for hardly any dates what are the chances it will go public? I know they only give a percentage of rooms for the pins, but still not a good sign, imo.

I know! This is exactly what I'm thinking. Kind of freaking about it a little. Guess I've got my hopes up high for a public free dining offer. It's going to be a hard fall to reality for me if it doesn't happen. :(

I just checked and it looks like freed dining was released to the public on July 12th last year. I'm sure this is general knowledge to most people haha. I called again today, no PIN. Come on! OH and on another thread someone said POP was already sold out for PINs. Please don't let that be true..I need 2 rooms at POP!

Yes but it was August 3rd the year before. Remember too that thus year Disney seems to be waiting a bit longer releasing promos. Sept free dining was released March 1 last year.

As of yesterday, there were rooms at ASMu and Sports (none at Pop) the first week of December on the free dining plan. We were able to reserve Pop the 2nd week of November with FD.

I hate to leave it like this; let's put a positive spin on this. These PINs have been going out since May 9 and it looks like they have kept the allotted rooms that they started with and now they have pretty much run their course. Does it sound logical to say then, that the next step is to bring this to a GP offer?:goodvibes

Did you call or look online? I am just playing around with my PIN online, but I always suggest calling to find out for sure because I have found discrepancies.;)
