Free dining early December?

I was just messing around on the site comparing some rates (and stalking 2015 packages) when I noticed that if I chose early December (12/1 to 12/7) it lists the free dining offer as an option. It tells me I can't book online at this time if I choose it, but those dates don't seem to be in the original Fall/Winter offer (Aug 31 through Oct 3, 2014
Oct 26 through Nov 1, 2014
November 9 through November 20, 2014
Dec 12 through Dec 23, 2014)

Wonder what's going on?

All that being said, I don't care because I want 2015!

We are already booked for that time and I called Disney to inquire about that. I was told that there is no chance, and I mean no chance that the dates are or will be extended. As a side note, I was also told that there is a very good possibility that this will be the last year for free dining. I know that those who use it will be disappointed if it isn't renewed!

When we had those dates booked and tried to play around with changes, the site kept mentioning free dining, but it wasn't ever valid...I think it just adds the offer as a possibility if you are searching for info on months that it IS offered...since many travel sites know people might alter dates of vacations based on special offers like that.

I certainly would be...of course our trip this year with it, will be our last large WDW trip until DD graduates...so maybe by then it will be back, or something else offered.

We are planning a WDW trip in 2015 for late Nov or early Dec and like everyone else would love free dinning since we will need several rooms and want on the monorail. When can we start booking for this trip? Any help would be great.

If you are going regardless of "Free Dining" you can book it on July 30th when the 2015 prices are released.

Free dining (if it's offered) won't come out until next year, though, closer to the trip. It usually comes out in August for the Fall, but this year it was May, so it's a guess when (if) they will do it again.

RO discounts are usually a better deal on the monorail hotels than FD. Run the number for your group when the time comes.

I find it odd that a CM would make such any statement about the future free dining not likely being offered again. They are usually so vague about future discounts, etc. After all, look at how in the dark the CMs were about the WL pool closing..."What pool closing?....Naw, there is no pool closing...does Wilderness Lodge have a pool?"

But anything is possible, I suppose. It's not as if I know all the inner workings of Disney Corp. Time will tell, I guess. :hourglass

My DH and I are planning a trip for Dec. 7-12. Does anyone know why there is no free dining at that time? Free dining is not a deal breaker for us and we are going anyway because it's our 20th anniversary but I'd be curious to know why (other than pop warner) that there is no free dining. We'd like to be prepared in case that is now a new busy/high traffic time for Disney.

Disney must have enough bookings that they don't feel they need to offer FD.

FYI - RO discounts for the rest of the year were released today
