Free Dining-Difference in what's included?

Is there a difference in what is included in your meals with free dining than the regular paid dining plan? I've been trying to find an answer to this but can't. Does TS include appetizer, entre, drink and desert? I'm interested in the 1 snack/ 1 counter / 1 TS plan.

There is no difference to the dining plans whether you receive it free or pay in full. For the "Plus" dining plan you are referring to (1TS, 1CS and 1 snack) the TS meal includes an entrée, a non-alcoholic beverage and a dessert. Sometimes the beverage can be a smoothie or shake - you can ask your waiter.

There is a sticky thread that will answer anything you need to know about the dining plans.

But basically, the DDP (regular dining plan with 1 snack 1 cs meal and 1 ts meal) gets you your entree, dessert and a non alcoholic drink.
The Deluxe plan DxDDP get you 3 meal credits that you can use either at CS or TS places and 2 snacks.
It is the same plan as above except you each credit also includes an appetizer.

It does not change what you get, but I have heard that menu's do change for when dining is offered "free" vs times when it is not "free". Some places pull certain menu items etc. during these times, but I am not 100% sure on that.

I have not seen any changes to menu availability at any time. I've read many threads on how free dining has effected the overall quality/variety over the years.

I go to WDW several times a year and as an AP holder sometimes I buy the DDP, sometimes I pay rack rate and get free dining, and sometimes I go with the DxDDP. I've never noticed a difference in the menu offerings. Now all restaurants change their menus from time to time, but that occurs just as often during times free dining is not offered as it does during free dining. Some of my favorite items are no longer on the menus (seafood salad at Yachtsman, mac & cheese with red wine sauce at Jikos, salmon two ways at Le Cellier, the duck at Chef's de France comes and goes, etc), but they were all removed during times when free dining was not even being offered, so had nothing to do with free dining.

We've *never exerienced this happening when we've gone during free dining.
