just a FYI the free disney dining deal is discounted not free, only free with pin

How do you figure that? The first client I booked this for this morning I was comparing numbers for. When I priced a package with the same room and the same tickets but NO DINING on the web site it was the same price the CM came back with on the free dining offer. Actually the free dining offer was $25 cheaper...I'm still trying to figure that one out. LOL But in running the numbers, it was REALLY free dining. :)

I called this morning and booked without a pin...Did you call?

I think you should you would be pleasantly surprised.

Good luck? :cheer2:

i'm cpmparing a triple a room rate or a annual pass room rate

Lollipop Mom is right, I priced out everything yesterday and booked w/o dining and called back today to have the free dining added and my cost did not change 1 cent.

I just changed my sisters package to add free dining. She saved about 150.00...still can't figure that out. Oh well, wish I could go. :guilty: However, I could take DS4 but DD10 wouldn't be able to go due to school. :rolleyes1

I have a annual pass holder room rate of 695 with tax for port orleans riverside or a 925 triple a rate there with king bed then 7 day tickets at 285.44 then they told me with dining plan it would be 1619 or 1736 king which is 353 more

Im trying to talk my DH into taking another trip so we can do this....he thinks Im crazy

Nori,

As Califred said you can't stack the discounts, so that's one reason why your rate went up.

Also if you're booking the AP rate I assume you have an AP - why are you pricing it with 7 day tickets when you only need a 1 day ticket in order to have a "package" and qualify for the free dining?

You're making a cost benefit analysis for your situation. But your situation doesn't apply to others. For those that don't already qualify for your discounts on the rooms, the dining plan is free. The free dining plan cannot be COMBINED with other discounts.

For me, I was saving $16 a day on the AAA rate. So it's not really free for me either. If I can get rebooked, the free dining plan will be saving me $110 a day. Lets see. I can chose to save $16 or $110. Hmmmm. I think I'll take the 110. Everyone's situation is different. Just because it's not free for your situation, does not mean it isn't for others' situations.

I got it booked this morning, and although I lost my AAA room discount, I did save $300. And, I"m still down $500 from my orginal booking (before AAA). We aren't AP holders, we don't live there, so any savings is great for us!

My AAA agent booked this morning and had no trouble at all!

We are going during this time period. We started with an AAA rate. Switched to an AP rate (have not purchased the AP yet) and now are trying to move to this new WDW discount! Soo glad that Jo at Small World Vacations is doing all of this. Here's hoping this new "Hurricane Season Discount" leaves us all dry! :goodvibes

This is a great discount. I had a CM room booked for my kids, and am going to cancel it. I had Pop for 40% off. After switching the package will cost us $560 more than the room only discount. For 2 adults and 2 juniors, it will cost a little over $140 each extra and that includes a 1 one day ticket each and dining for 9 days. I think that is a real savings. When you consider that even us CMs think this is a great deal and are ready to cancel our exclusive cast discounted room, that says something. We really didn't need tickets since we had alot of free one to give the kids. I don't know anywhere were a person can eat for a little over $100 for 9 days......

I'm glad to see that others feel the same way I do. At first I was second guessing myself wondering if this really was a deal since I was hearing so many negative sort of comments. We were planning on staying at Pop century anyways with nothing more than AAA discount and were going to get the dining plan anyways. So free food sounds great to me. I had been looking at the menus and prices to see where we'd eat and what we might order just to see if the plan was worth it. Let me tell you, it was! DH and I were talking about how it seems every family vacation we've taken we always go the "budget or cheap" way. So this time we were gonna go all out. Now we can still do that, but it's free!

where is the savings? My room king bed mod room for 925 with tax and tickets at 570 for 2 adults that is 1495, I called about free dining plan and it goes up to 1736? any ideas

Not true. I just got it this morning through my AAA travel agent. I did not have a pin. I lost my AAA discount though because Disney would not allow any discounts with the free meal plan offer.

I am not following your math and I would like to help you. Yes, if you will be using a discount code you cannot do that and get the free dinning. You have to pay rack rate. Although your total went up a little one way you eat the other you don't you have to inclued that in your calculating. Spell out your exact rate and how you got it and what tickets you are using and I can explain better

my price quoted was right on the $$, I checked www.waltdisneyworld.com for the same as what I was doing w/o adding the dining plan and its the same exact price as what I am paying. So, I'm saving $225 with it! :goodvibes
