Free Dining! Can't Decide!

I'm already booked at POFQ, standard view, with FD beginning on September 15, have all my ADRs. I haven't bought plane tickets yet, although Jetblue is looking ok (even though we always fly United) but I'm hesitating to lock in. Anyway....all the PIN codes for FD in the Fall that people have been getting (which my DGD has gotten THREE of in MY email, but she's not coming with us this trip), plus the rumors of FD maybe being offered in July have me debating whether to switch to Oct. now, hoping for FD, or stay with what I have. I'm excited about the super low crowds our September week, but I'm concerned about hurricanes, rain, and the heat. Anyone convince me to stick with September? Or wait on the plane tickets and hope for FD in October?

I am having the same problem. Booked for September with free dining but thinking about waiting and going in October and possibly even November.. I don't know why this is such a hard decision for me. Normally I want to go as soon as possible and this time, I' m kind of like, whateva! LOL.

We enjoyed our September trip! I just want to do the Halloween party and I feel like I would enjoy it more, if it were closer to Halloween.

With FD hoping for good weather and low crowds flying out Syracuse on United was the cheapest at the time

How important are your ADR's to you? You'd have to remake all of them for new dates in Oct.

I'm mostly worried about the heat and rain, although it was pretty dang hot during our trip last October! If air fares go down to what I consider reasonable, I'm just gonna buy them and lock in September.

The low crowds in September sound fantastic, that's the main thing I'm happy about if FD isn't offered for the fall, and if I stick with Sept., and if I can resist buying plane tickets for Sept.

Did just that last night in anticipation of switching to October. As soon as I know, I'll cancel one or the other week. I got mostly what I wanted for October although I had to change a couple due to no availability for the times I wanted.

I am booked September 6-16 with free dining. We love September, haven't hit bad weather in a long time. Most things are inside so if it does rain you just run from place to place but it usually doesn't rain long. It is hot in September, I like it though. In October you are playing a game of hit or miss for weather. We have gone in October a few times, once we were dripping sweat everyday, the other we bought coats and gloves.

I'd try to decide ASAP not only for Airfair, but so you can cancel the other ADRs you made to free them up for someone who will be needing them.

We are going this Sept but normally go in Oct or Nov. We tried Sept for the first time last year and honestly, I like Oct or Nov much better. The heat and afternoon rains were not enjoyable. The reason we are going in Sept is because my children are not starting school til 9/9 and I won't have to pull them out for a week if we went in Oct or Nov. We even got a pin but I don't want to pull them out of school, if I don't have to.

I would not change anything that costs money until you are sure free dining does come out. Although there are rumors now, those posting them are saying not to ever bank on anything until it is official. Now making extra ADRs doesn't cost anything, so that is totally different, but I would be careful about switching airfare. Hoping free dining doe open for the rest of the year! I am going in November no matter what, but I really could use a budget break. LOL
