free dining: can comeone confirm.......

in the UK there was talk last year of moderates only being offered the counter service dining plan for free, whereas you had to stay in the deluxes to get the normal dining plan for free. i dont think the values were going to be offered.

can someone confirm that in the USA, POP has definately been offered in the past for free dining, and whether or not it is the full dining plan (ie: 1 TS, 1 CS, and a snack per day).

why i'm asking is that i've found a great deal for SSR with the dining plan included, but am thinking of waiting til the free dining is announced and i might try and book POP instead. it'll save me quite a bit of money, but it's killing me knowing that i'll have to wait about 3 weeks to find out if they're going to offer it, by which time my great offer may not be available any more. its kinda stressing me out........

Yes, values have always been offered under the free dining and you did get the "Full" dining plan with every type resort.

Yes values were included last time. However there was no CS plan last year so it's anyone's guess what the free dining offer will be this time.
Can you not book the offer you have now and change it if free dining is offered?

We went to WDW for the first time last year using the free dining promo and stayed at pop. The regular dining plan was free (1TS, 1CS, 1snack) but we paid the difference and upgraded to the deluxe dining plan. We booked the bounceback for this years free dining and it was the regular dining plan offerred as well. Unfortunately we canceled our bounceback a month ago and are now instead doing Disneyland.

The Values have always been offered the basic DDP for free dining in the past. I have free dining booked at a Value for Sept 26th-Oct 4th thanks to the Bounceback Program that was offered last Sept. It too is for the basic DDP (not the counter service DDP).

i wish i could do it this way, it'd save me a bit of stress but i'll lose £240 if i book the other one then cancel. its not through disney unfortunately
