Free dining announcement question???

Does any one remember how far in advance was the announcement that free dining would be offered? Like IF free dining can be booked by people with a disney visa on April 10th, when would we find out about it? Any thoughts?

As of this moment....there has been no announcement of a free dining promotion being released. It is all speculation on the internet. BUT....if the public promotion would be available on the 10th, then past experience would put the Visa cardholders 3 days to a week before that date.

Right, but when would they announce it? The day it can be booked or do they give you little warning? Like announce on April 3 that on April 7 you can book...

They will give alittle notice. TA's and disney insiders get alittle more notice.

Last year rumors with dates included were posted on 3/16 !
Its late for the rumor mill with the dates

Last year, official notice (like on the Disneyworld website) didn't happen until the morning OF starting to book free dining!! Not only that, but the Visa Rewards people didn't start sending out emails or mailings promoting free dining until several days after it started. I think the Disney Visa website had it up the morning of booking also, though.

Everyone knew about it ahead of time here on Dis though, because there were several TA's who got the info a few weeks a head of time. Also a CM that had spotted the free dining advertisement on his/her bosses desk.
