Free Dining and AAA question

I have my reservation (WL resort with tickets…excluding dining) on my hold through AAA and I want to make my reservation “official” as of today. I’m traveling the 3rd week of September 2007. I’m hoping someone would be kind to answers some of my questions (bare with me I’m new to all this Disney planning). What happens if Disney offers the free dining this year can I apply to my AAA reservation? I thought I read somewhere that you cannot use AAA rates if you are going to use free dining because you need to book rack rates? I guess I want the best of both worlds (I know I cannot have both). I do not want to lose my AAA discount rate but yet I do not want to miss out on the free dining. Any recommendations or suggestions are highly welcome. Thank you so much.

If I remember correctly...last year you could use the AAA discount, but no other discounts...someone will correct me shortly if I'm wrong. Even so, that doesn't necessarily mean it will be true this year.

We booked through AAA last year before free dining. Then when free dining came out i called my TA and told her about it and she called changed ressie with free dining did save me about 700-800 dollars and we stayed at the wl. final cost of the trip was about 2600 or so cant remember. Keep looking out.
