Free dining 2014

How long is the Vis holder window traditionally before it's open to general public?

It is normally a M-Th or Th-M 1, 2 punch IF the DV holders get a early booking option.
So IF April 21st is the date, it could be a DV early booking date or an open date for everyone. If it opens just for DV holders, then Thursday would be the date for general public.

With the possible(probable) release of FD slated soon, does anyone remember if POFQ is offered as an option? We have a BB room at POFQ from last year and two other rooms booked at rack rate without FD as of right now. What is the probability that, as a VD card holder, I can snag POFQ rooms on the remaining two rooms for FD. We generally stay at POR for FD, but decided to go to the sister resort on this trip.

They were offered in September, but were excluded in the fall promotion.

Let me be more clear--sorry! Both POR and POFQ were offered in September, but only POR in Fall promotion.

I am sooo sorry, but can you clarify one more time? Both were included in Sept for FD??? but not fall promo? What is the difference?:crazy2:

September is "Late Summer" so both were included in the Late Summer offer but only POR in the fall (October-December) offer.

I have a new Disney Visa so I'm not sure how you can book the earlier offers. I heard the Disney Visa emails sometimes come out after the offer is released to Disney Agents. To book or to change a previous reservation do you call the main Disney reservation number or a number for Visa specifically?

Visa offers are not bookable online. You will just call Disney (not Visa) when you hear of the offer (you will find out on these boards before Visa gets around to notifying anyone). If you did not use your DV for your deposit, you will have to make a $200 payment toward your package to get the deal. Good luck!

Did you hear something new? I was waiting for today to hear anything about "late summer/Step" promos!

Thank you !

Since CMs were told to expect overtime, does anyone know why? My TA says there are NO promotions of any kind out today.

I'd say IRS Tax Refund Checks, but we all know THAT didn't happen.

I received an offer in snail mail today. It is the same 30% off rooms but it now includes a free park hopper if you book 5 or more nights. 6/1 - 8/28.

I'm going during that time I wish I got that offer in the mail (AOA LK 8/20-8/28)

Just to throw an idea out there, have you considered switching resorts using the summer special?

A friend is planning to stay at a Little Mermaid room at AoA. I ran the numbers:

Art of Anim. ............. per nt............... 7 nites......... discount ......... discounted cost
Regular room..............$130.................$910........... Not discounted......... -----
AoA suite ...................$310..............$2170...........$325.5 (15%).........$1844.5
POP Century................$120..............$840............... $126 (15%)............... $714

Moderate....................$164................$1148..............$287 (20%).............$864
(Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans

"So if you currently have a regular room at Art of Animation. You can switch to POP century and save almost $200. Or you can upgrade to a Moderate and still save $50 or so."

Have you called Disney to see if you have a "unique code" attached to your name? Check everyone's name in your household, you never know.
When you call, just ask if they could please check to see if you have any unique PIN codes attached to your name and then ask them if they can check the other members of your family. They are happy to do it (unless you get a grumpy one and if you do, say thank you and call again:thumbsup2).
I've been surprised on one of my past trips :goodvibes

Let us know if you have one:dance3:
