Black, I have to travel for work tomorrow but should be online by 10 at the latest. What are the chances everything fills up before I get to check the boards and change my reservation? As of right now I have mine plus four other options at POR that are still able to be booked if I need to? Thoughts in helping this crazy mind go to bed easy? popcorn::

Oh don't worry. They open up more rooms as things go along, then open more for the public date too.

I know I said this last month on the night before the summer offer went live on the dates I posted, but it just seems so quiet.

The web is totally split now with some saying tomorrow and others saying the 1st. I always get skittish the night before, but I hope nobody is put off or put down either way, because it won't mean it isn't coming. I honestly don't know though, with reps having overtime at two different times...no matter which date is the offer, what is the overtime for on the other date???

I'll have my fingers crossed hoping that everyone gets the resorts they want on the days they need. Lots of pixie dust to all.

Yeah, that's crazy. I know they wouldn't release two different promos or anything like that.

No sweat Joe. We just all appreciate your willingness to share and trying to keep ups informed. We promise no beatings with a Bill E Club LOL.

OT on May 1st for Halloween and Xmas party tickets? Nothing going on tomorrow except for the MM promo ending....or maybe it's just wishful thinking for FD tomorrow.

I know, yet several have reported working overtime. May 2nd is also media day for the Mine Train and the earnings call is May 6. Lots going on then to throw a free dining promo in with it too. MM ends today, so no reason for overtime for that tomorrow.

This has been the craziest and odd promo drop ever since I've been calling the dates. Things used to be clear, now things are getting so cloudy with conflicting information that I have to sort through. The only thing that hasn't conflicted was the fact that free dining is going to happen.

Whether they release FD tomorrow, a week from now or a month from now, I want to say thank you for putting so much effort in trying to help us all out! It is much appreciated!!!!!!

They want everyone to panic. They want everyone to just give up and book. That's what they want.

I am thinking that whatever Disney is doing, it is working. I was playing with the Disney.com website yesterday and played with several dates throughout all the resorts. I used room, package and the current MM package options to look at rooms/packages available. There are a few resorts that are totally booked for one or more room categories using the room, the package and the MM promo.
The one resort that is booked the most in September is POR. There are several dates/weeks that are totally booked in several room categories if you use the room or package option and when you use the MM promo option there is not one room in any room category available (completely booked!!) Looks like Disney is winning,:sad2: at least at POR. For all my Disboard friends booked/looking to book at POR, please have your 2nd and 3rd choices ready. I am afraid that since POR is totally booked in every room category with the MM package for several dates/weeks that it may exclude POR from any other promo or have multiple black out dates. I hope I am wrong but just be prepared.:surfweb:

No matter what happens tomorrow, I hope people remain kind. The people on this thread seem to be wonderful, so I hope that continues no matter what. NO REPEAT of last year! You've been absolutely fantastic to give us hope and keeping us informed with up to date updates. We appreciate you!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

I agree 100%! Everyone here has been wonderful and we are all here to help share and support each other. When all this waiting is over, If you don't have anything nice to say/post, DO NOT say/post anything at all. :) None of us are owed anything, and if you feel that you need to post something negative, hateful, rude, hurtful or just downright mean, PLEASE either call Disney or Chase Disney Visa and vent your anger with them or another option; just start your own thread and vent till your little heart desires.:thumbsup2 Negative posts are not welcome here on this wonderful thread! :bitelip:

Thank you Black for all you do and for sharing all of your wonderful insight and thank you to all the wonderful Disboard friends on this thread. Once our waiting is over, I hope we can start sharing all our great details about our Disney trip :goodvibes

Thank you for everything. I'm just glad it is coming and you have put my mind at rest about that at least.

I know I'm fairly new to the thread but certainly not Disney! I booked my September dates and reservations months ago straight up banking on FD for my Sept trip this year. Really hoping it happens tomorrow but regardless, thanks Black for all the hard work! It's definitely been appreciated reading a little more every day! :cool2:

Well, I don't think I have to say this, but if it doesn't come to pass tomorrow....we need a few to call every Monday and every Thursday....if not every single day.

Maybe if we drive them crazy enough, they'll give up and release it....haha

Get ready though, because if it doesn't happen tomorrow, there will be a few appear in here accusing me of leading everyone astray and that I never knew what I was doing and how dare I let everyone down like this. They love to pounce and no matter how many times I've been spot on, all it takes is one time to get them in here.

The difference is, I never tell anyone to book anything in advance,...I never guarantee, because nobody can do that, and it's reckless.

this may be painful if they add it back! Although probably wouldn't have given me both!

Thank you for all of your hard work. Some people just need someone to blame. I was here last year & remember the horrible posts.... It was really so sad. I read boards SEVERAL times a day, rarely do I reply. I just wanted to thank you again, no matter what, thank you!

In fact, you stated that if you are banking on FD specifically, do NOT pre-book. Don't worry about negative feedback. The bulk of us here really appreciate the heads up and realize it is best effort. Much appreciated. :thumbsup2

If POR does end up being excluded from FD, and a significant number of guests who are already booked there switch resorts in order to get FD, I wonder if Disney would a) get the hint that people book in Sept hoping to get FD, and b) then open up those vacated rooms at POR for the FD promo?

Has it ever happened that a resort was excluded from FD at first, and then opened up later on? FD has been offered at the same time for enough years now that anyone who is "Disney savvy" knows about it.

FTR, we're one of the people already booked at POR in Sept with the MM promo. We want to try POR, as we've never stayed there, but I'll switch resorts to get FD if I have to.

Regardless of what happens, know that I appreciate all the information you've passed on to the board. I'm somewhat new to the DIS and have really enjoyed the camaraderie going in this forum. (It's also been fun realizing there are others out there as nuts I am about all that is "disney planning". :wave2:)
