oh no... what if I check in on the 31st of Aug?

That happened to me last year so I needed to book 2 different stays. One for a room only and we didn't go to a park that day and then a second reservation that started the day of FD. It wasn't ideal but for FD it was the best scenario for us.

Here is my latest bit of info:
I have a friend that I go to church with that is a Disney Travel Agent (I wanted to talk to her yesterday but she was out of town). I just sent her a FB message asking if she had any insight on free dining since we are hoping to book for September. I am quoting what she told me:

"We know that Free dining is coming for September and rumor has it that it will be available next Monday. I am sure that is why my schedule includes OT for next week "

I then ask her if she knows anything about whether Disney Visa holders will get advanced notice.

"We normally get that information the morning that they offer the advanced booking and sometime we hear it from our customers before we hear it from our department leads. LOL"

Not sure if this is anything more than what Black has shared but the overtime comment is another great sign that Black is spot on again!!!

I thought of this too, and it could work? and maybe we could add a day on the end, so we could get our full days in the park? I like to make two trips to MK and Epcot.. hmmmm.. pixie dust, dont fail me now..

I talked to 2 CM today and both said that there is no OT allowed for this week or next week. And the people on the OT list are not getting many hrs at all. To me it doesn't look good . Let's hope they are both lying... Fingers crossed!!

This is the problem this year, lots of conflicting information.

I've been doing this sort of thing since 2010 and it's never been like this. I think it's on purpose to throw us prognosticators off track.

At least we can take solace in the information I got that said it is happening.

The Brazilian offer ran alongside the summer offer, and ends on August 28. The UK offer is for next year. Imagine that, they already have free dining for 2015.

And you have been doing a mighty fine job!!

My friend is a Disney TA not a CM. She would have no reason to tell me that she is on OT next week if she wasn't (nothing to gain at all). Why would a Disney TA be required to have OT but not a CM? Do Disney TA's sell MNSSHP tickets?
And we will continue to stay tuned right here

Like I said, I think the CMs are throwing around all kinds of information. I've heard overtime next week, I've heard not, I've heard overtime on May 1, 3 and 3rd as well. But only May 1 is even plausible as it's a Thursday. Halloween Party tickets likely release the first of May, and no way they would do both.

What about May 5th? If it is going to mirror last year then May would be the month. Seeing that it was released on the 6th . But the day of the week shouldn't matter due to the past staggered thurs, tues, mon of past years gone bye. Confused?

They meant the offer dates would mirror, not the release.

I just wanted to say there are really a great bunch of people on this thread. I've been following on here for a couple of weeks now and you have been very helpful and nice. I've been on other threads where people are sarcastic and sometimes downright hostile and nasty. I'm glad I found this thread. Thank you all. Especially Black.

I called last night to make Sept reservations and happened to get a rather chatty CM on the phone. He said several times that usually free dining is released on the 17th, but that this year it would most likely be delayed. After I made my reservations, he asked if I'd like to wait a week (7 days) to finalize, since I would "probably have a FD code ("wink,wink", he said) that could be applied".

I don't know exactly what that means, but thought maybe it would be of interest. Love this thread!
