I have no inside info but I have a feeling that WDW is changing FD this year. I think the offer will be free breakfast at values, quick service at moderates and the regular dining plan at the deluxe hotels. I hope I am wrong but I just have a bad feeling about free dining for Aug/Sept.

You just quoted the UK offer. That does not mean they won't change the FD offering this year, I just don't think it will look like the UK offer.

No offense but I hope you're wrong too:rotfl:

Something else that worries me about the UK offer for next year... the only exclusion in their moderate free dining package is Royal Rooms. That's what I've got booked for Oct 17th :-( Any thoughts on this?

My curiosity is wanting to know for the UK FD offer the breakfast is it a QS breakfast or TS. And how do they know? I'm interested in details.

Well last year the us offer in September for POR basically the only thing left to book was Royal rooms. I checked into switching to POR but in the end we just decided the QSDP and paying OP for a couple of character meals works better for us. Just tips alone is almost what we would spend on 3 character meals since our length of stay is longer than average. Trying to get my kids to leave the wp's because we need to go back to the room get ready to eat. Stresses me out.

I just checked the T&Cs. It's a quick service breakfast. Kids must order a kids meal.

We have booked since feb for the first week of sept. So with or without FD we are still going . It's the first time for our two little ones. But FD would be wonderful!

Yeah, well I went to the online chat a couple nights ago to see when MNSSHP tix go on sale. The first CM said late July/early August which sounded kind of late to me. So, I exited out of that chat session and started another one hoping to get the "right" answer. I should have known after the CM asked me what MNSSHP stood for that I wasn't getting a seasoned CM. I spelled it out for her and she said she'd check and let me know. A couple minutes later she came back and said they go on sale September 19th. Okay, well the first party is the first of September so are they selling tickets AFTER the parties start? I think not. I said all that to say this, while some CM's know there stuff, I've run into A LOT of them that don't. I trust the Disney Experts on the DIS way more than I do them....just my two cents :)

I was on the phone last night with a CM from the Disney recreation dept ( I believe?) I was booking the pirates and pals fireworks cruise and I asked her about the MNSSHP tickets and she told me that they were told they would be released in the next 2 weeks or so and to check back. Hope that might help a bit? I think it's funny how every CM seems to get a different memo than the person they are sitting next to and there is sooooo much conflicting information!

I'm pretty sure the CMs are mostly making up these dates, or they're just reading the same rumor threads we are. I'm honestly surprised so many of them speculate at all!

I just spoke to a CM to see if she could answer a few questions I had about what I will need to do provided FD comes out next week. She was quick to correct me and say FD is not coming out next week. I said well I am hoping that some sort of discount is coming for September and she said "we are not sure where this is coming from, if it is on message boards or something, but it is not true." I said , well I know that sometime FD is offered in September so I think people are just hoping for that and she said it is actually done in October because it is hurricane season. (I hate to tell her, but September is also Hurricane season, so that made no sense.) Now I'm not saying I believe her, but do you think it is definitely going to be a FD offer, or maybe it will be some sort of room discount.

#1- If she works for WDW and doesn't even know that FD has been done in Sept for years AND
#2 if she lives in FL and doesn't know that Sept is peak hurricane season..........
it makes you wonder how reliable a source of information she is, generally speaking. :confused3
After the 6wk long experience trying to get Sept Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party....with CMs telling me every type of misinfomation short of "Aliens stole the desserts, so there isn't a dessert party scheduled", I'm inclined to NOT trust info from phone CMs.

Thanks! I was thinking I read on here somewhere that it would likely be the first week or so of May but happened to be on the WDW website and thought I would just do online chat instead of searching it on here. I should have known better, lol!

Crazymomof4 ... BEST QUOTE YET !!! "Aliens stole the desserts, so there isn't a dessert party scheduled", I am :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: .. I can see a CM giving that as an answer though !!

If we get FD will there be a min amout of nights you have to stay ? We are there 5 days / 4 nights ... I am waiting on the email from DV but nothing yet ...:wizard:

Just an FYI. I was just on the Disney website and at POR only preferred, garden view and royal rooms are available the last 2 wks of Sept. At POFQ all room types are still available. Just food for thought...no pun intended....

I'm at AOA LK suite 8/20-8/28 w/park hopper...if FD comes out during that time is it better that I have the dining plan on my reservation so I don't have to have my stuff cancelled and rebooked or does it not matter? I thought I read something like that before. Thnx

Our TA got us a dessert rez for Wishes the first day they were available for our Sept 16th trip (rez is for Friday Sept 19). Geesh, I know they were calling in all the extra hands, but there must be some feet involved too.:rotfl:

I'm curious about this, as well. I did add the dining plan to our reservation. If FD is not offered, I plan to remove the dining plan. If FD is offered for our trip dates, I likely will book a new reservation and cancel the existing, as my understanding is that it's better to get online right away on the first day of the FD offer (so, not waiting for Disney phone lines to open to simply try to apply the offer to existing reservation). Does anyone know what will happen to my existing dining reservations, specifically the ones that requiring pre-payment for which we reserved using the dining plan credits, rather than actually prepaying? I hope I'm being clear in phrasing this question, as it's starting to confuse me.
