Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 3

We're happy and sad at the same time.

Happy that we booked at Coronado springs for 7 nights with free dining.
Sad because we were looking forward to visiting POFQ or POR, but will cancel my reservation for POFQ to take advantage of free dining.

So if enough people cancel POR and POFQ to get free dining would there be any chance in that Disney would add one of these to the list?

It's doubtful. I don't recall that ever happening for a public offer. They may send some PIN codes out with different resorts. They may add to the allotted rooms at the included resorts at some point, but I doubt they will add new resorts to the offer.

I would suspect a good percentage of the rooms at POFQ will be full anyway without FD. May be a little harder for them to fill POR.

Maybe a silly question. Do pin codes only come under adult names or could a child's name be attached to a pin code?

My DGD got a PIN and it came to my email address but couldn't use it since she wasn't going with us this trip. No worries, we got exactly what we wanted anyway. Not too picky..... POP w/QSDP

It is good basically the same dates as GP one now with a few dates added earlier on. It includes POR. I am booked for Christmas-New Years at POR with 2 ad, 4 ch with free dining!!

I suggest if you really want POR you call and ask if you have a pin attached to your name. I never got am email or mailing with this pin, was just hoping to get lucky as this was the only way we would go to WDW for Christmas again.

Now that we know that the PIN codes being sent out include POR and POFQ, I believe that Disney's intention is to fill them only with PIN codes vs DV or GP. I wouldn't expect any rooms at those 2 resorts to be added into the FD allotment other than with a PIN.

How many days free dining will I get?? I'm checking into the our hotel oct. 26th, but not doing a park that day, will I get free dining for that day?

Also the day we checkout, I will go to a park, but will we get FD that day?

You'll get free dining credits for as many nights as you are staying. For the regular dining plan you get One QS, One TS, One Snack per person per night. You can use them anyday you want to use them.

It is based on the nights you are there.

the QSDP dining plan will give you (per person):
2 counter service meals per night of your resort stay
1 Snack per night of your resort stay
1 refillable mug

The regular DP will give you:
1 table service meal per night of your resort stay
1 counter service meal per night of your resort stay
1 refillable mug

So if you are on the QSDP, and your reservation is for 7 nights/8 days
Each person in your party will have 14 counter service meals and 7 snack credits for your trip to use any way you want to.
If you are on the regular DP each person in your party will have 7 counter service + 7 table service meals + 7 snack credits for your trip.

You can use your meals any way that you want to.

UGH -I received the PIN Code = really want POR, but it's under my parent's name who traveled with us ten years ago. Obviously, that's my maiden name, but it's MY current address. I forwarded it to my TA, hoping we can use it!

Please let me know how you make out with that. When I called earlier today, I was told we did have a pin number but that POFQ was excluded from the offer. He said POR was included, but the only room they had available for our time period was the royal room. Just a little too steep for us.

POR is showing all rooms available for my dates (10/2-10/11) except the standard. But he insisted the only thing he had was the Royal rooms. Hmmm... maybe I should call back tomorrow....

I went through the special offer email so availability was specific to the pin #. I would try again

There are only a certain amount of free dining rooms available, there's no way to know how many by what's available online.
