Sorry if this has already been asked but why does the free dining promo in the disney site show mods and values not starting till 9/14. I thought it was 9/2 for everyone.

It's showing an example of prices during that time but makes it very confusing. All resorts have the same date range. Don't worry.

I just realized my new reservation with FD at ASMo is for a standard room. Our original reservation was for a preferred.

How much should I care about this?

AT ASMo Preferred are different buildings and are closer to the pools & buses (except for Mighty Ducks if you plan it just right) If you have your heart set on one of the themes of preferred or want to be closer you may want to change it.

I guess they had to add a designation so that the "dining plan" didn't end up like ordering a Coke in the south, and then having to explain what kind of Coke you want...Mountain Dew...Root Beer...Diet Coke

I don't know about "The South",but around these parts they're called "cold drinks"!What kinda "cold drink" you want? We in New Orleans yeah Cher!

That is awesome. I don't like DQ myself, but on our non-park/hang out days this will keep my older kids from spending a fortune at the resort arcade-- and since they're 15 and 22 I don't even have to go. I can just go to the pool with hubby & my little guy. That is nice.

You see for us "old timers"...those who have had free dining since the good ol' days in '05...the "Plus Dining Plan" is THE Dining Plan.
It's not PLUS anything.
To make the QS plan, they took AWAY stuff from the dining plan.
For Deluxe, the ADDED stuff.
I guess they had to add a designation so that the "dining plan" didn't end up like ordering a Coke in the south, and then having to explain what kind of Coke you want...Mountain Dew...Root Beer...Diet Pepsi.

And while I'm waxing nostalgic...I remember that first year of free dining, when we stayed at a value, and got the regular dining plan for free....INCLUDING tips...and were able to order appetizers for our TS meals. Those were the days....

Those were the good ol days weren't they?

I just got an email regarding free dining into the end of December. The only week not offered, Pop Warner week.

HISTORICALLY, do the give out free dining or a room discount this week? I'm super bummed that I'm missing out on a HUGE discount.

That is awesome... where is the mini golf course? Does the Disney bus system take you there from the resorts because we're going to be entirely relying on Dis. transport.

411 can give specifics. But I have been there that week with free dining. Can you give more specifics of that email? The free dining into Dec part is very interesting

I know I have a package booked and received the email today showing my room, free dining credits and park tickets. When I go to the website and the mobile app, I see the resort reservation and my dining reservations but nothing about tickets and dining plan. This was true even before I switched from Art of Animation LM package to POR package to take advantage of free dining. The website says information about payment is not available currently. Is this normal?

Oh I can get even old timer than that. Lets go back to the 90s when you had tear out tickets for each days breakfast and dinner. Yes then you got a character breakfast and table service dinner each day. Plus there were coupons for things like free boat rentals, bikes, horseback riding , etc. I used to get a boat each day (included) and cruise the seven seas lagoon. Those were the days.

Then we move to plastic cards with still the same deal.

They took away the fun part and made it just food. Then they switched breakfast out for a counter service and then removed the appetizer and tip.

Yes, it's like that for a lot of us right now. It's a known issue according to a CM. No ETA on when they will be done with their "enhancements"

That certainly doesn't mean this would go public. But it does mean some of you may see these.

But it covers arrival dates for:
8/25– - 10/2
10/18– - 10/31
11/11– - 11/23

I saw someone posted that on another thread. I so wish they'd send me that email. That would totally complete my trip.
I was poking around your YouTube channel last night. You have the Back To The Future ride. that was my favorite ride at universal. That brought back done memories. Lol
