Free Dining 2013 Part 2 ~ The Sequel

I have decided that Disney Destinations and I have a love hate relationship. I love going there they hate giving me discounts. So not only did my parents get the pin yesterday, my inlaws got the pin today! When is my turn? None of them have any desire to go again this year. Sorry needed to vent to my dis friends who would understand my frustration.

Feeling your pain!!! I have resolved myself to wait for the visa offer. Lol

My kids are 16 and 19, and we still haven't gone adults only. LOL This trip my son is staying home for the first time, but we still have my daughter plus 15 other members of our extended friends and family. Pretty sure we may do a cruise or Vegas just hubby and I for our next trip, probably in a year or two, but both my kids will be adults then.

Mine are 8 and 10....we have a while yet. And WOW...15 other people? ? I hope you didn't have to plan their trip too. That's a lot of work lol

I am doing all the planning for 10 of us. My immediate family of 3 (dh, myself and dd), my parents and my aunt and her family of 5 (adult DD, her daughter's Bf, and her two grandkids 5 and 14). My sister and her sister in law and their hubbies are staying offsite for the first 4 days of our trip only. 2 friends who are adopted into the family are renting points and staying at the Beach Club for the last 4 days of our trip only. Then other friends of ours just happened to book their trip for the exact same dates as us and are staying at the same resort. That was not planned.

I just changed my mind today and decided to drive to WDW from PA. I think I bring too much stuff for a plane. Am I crazy? I think it is a 16 hour trip. My parents live in SC so my daughter is used to being in the car for a long time.

Crazy....Maybe?!? I am trying to figure out how to fly from NC. Lol
You could break it up though and be fine!!

I just changed my mind today and decided to drive to WDW from PA. I think I bring too much stuff for a plane. Am I crazy? I think it is a 16 hour trip. My parents live in SC so my daughter is used to being in the car for a long time.

We have done it when the kids were small. My DH was afraid to fly. On our third trip, I got him on a plane and he says he would never drive again. But I really didn't mind. It took us 18 hours from Northeast PA.

We ALL deserve it!!!! But I guess that would make it a GP offer and not a pin.

My aunt got a pin code in the mail yesterday. Disney has 3 addresses on my name, and her address is one of them. My aunt isn't going to use it, but I want it desperately! I think I've read that they can change the name on these????? Can I do this and use the pin code?

At first she said that the person whose name is on the mailer would have to go. I told her I called last week and they told me I had 3 addresses attached to my name, and that address that the mailer was sent to was one of them.

She checked, and sure enough, she got free dining for me.

For those dates, at POR, all they had left (for FD) were garden view and royal themed rooms.

Congratulations, that's wonderful I think now I might probably be better off waiting for the visa/gp offer. I really want to keep the room we have already booked for fd. (standard/wheelchair assessable room) or switch resort's . Also booked at POR 11/11-11/17. Wouldnt care about paying extra for garden view but my mother could use a roll in shower so I guess we will wait and see what opens up.

Made one last desperation call. Still nothing. Now I guess I just wait and hope for a public release. Even though the cm said they send them out throughout the year and it is definitely still possible to get it. I have about given up hope. Bring on the Visa offer early please! I can't handle waiting until August.
