it is a safe bet that we will see more FD promos as the year goes on. They have already released dates in Jan-March (had to book in Dec. '11), and people have been getting PIN codes for dates from 4/15-6/30/12. FD was also offered to Canadians for late Aug-Sept, and bounceback offers for those same dates were for FD as well.

We can likely see more dates annouced in March for the Aug-Sept. general public and then possibly more dates announced in August for Oct.-Dec. As always, nothing is guaranteed.

If you have a vaction in March or April (signature says 3 months) I wouldn't hold out for any public free dining offers at that time.

I'll go out on a limb(for thr 4th year in a row)and say there will be FD in 2012 around the usual times of years past.As before,the economy has'nt recovered yet,and there are still a lot of folks hurtin' out there;IF Disney wants people who are on the fence about visiting,the FD helps tremendously-I know it made it a lot more feasible/attractive to us.

Silly question cause I am confused now, maybe because i'm reading into the details too much Anywho, My fiance and I are planning on going to Disney Oct. 24th to Nov. 2nd of this year and I am planning on booking our trip within the next couple of weeks. If we book now and IF they release the FD offer, would we still qualify for FD?

Yes, you can book now and if they release free dining then you will need to call and see if it can be applied to your reservation. In some cases, you may need to switch resorts or room categories. Also, if you initially book with another promotion, such as a % off of your room, FD will negate that and you will pay rack rate for your room. I am hoping they will have FD that week, also. Our dates are 10/26-11/4. Also, if FD doesn't start ,for example, until 10/25, you can do a room only reservation for your first night and then start your free dining package the next day.
