Free Dining 2012 - Help?!

This is my first time posting, but have been lurking for a week or two now. I'm planning a trip to DL with my family this fall and am SUPER excited!

I am so very confused by the Free Dining 2012 sticky post above. I read through it, very excited that we would be able to qualify for the free dining program but then I noticed it's for WDW not DL!! Is that true?! Why is that post here in the DL subforum if it's for WDW? Do they offer this at DL as well?

yes, unfortunately it's only for WDW.
The good news is that because you can stay at an off property hotel cheaper and control where you eat (including cheaper off park restaurants) you'll come out a lot better financially by having choices.

Also, I'd advise against the Disneyland Dining Plan. It's a voucher system and you'll lose any money you don't spend and have to pay for overages.

Welcome! Some of the hotels or motels around DLR offer free breakfast. The links in my sig are two of them. I prefer Candy Cane Inn due to it's walking distance to the parks. There are others though, if you search the boards. And often we will have a larger lunch and a smaller snack for dinner like ice cream or a pretzel.
