2 Bedroom Villas START at $570.00 per night, two rooms at a value resort start at $164.00 per night. So, that would be over $400.00 more per night to stay at a Villa. You didn't say what the make-up of adults and children are in your group or even how many nights you are staying, but there is no way it would be cheaper for you to get a Villa vs. 2 rooms at a value, even if you have to upgrade from the quick service to the regular plan. Even if you had all adult in your party it would only cost about $616.00 to upgrade your dining plan. It would cost $2,800.00 to upgrade your 2 value rooms to a villa.

It's $11.00 per night per adult and $0 difference per night per child to upgrade from the quick service to the basic plan during value season.

Subscribing to this thread... thankfully I booked our 2011 FD trip before we left our room last September, but I have a friend that I am hoping can get the deal for their family this September. I know they offered FD to the general public for certain dates in 2011 through December of 2010. Has anyone heard any rumblings that they will come out with a similar Fall FD package (mid-Aug through early Oct.) to those offered the past 6 years?

Me too! Have a trip planned for 8/23 and booked it on DECEMBER 23rd!!! That's fine, you can call me an idiot. I didn't realize that the Free Dining promotion that was out had a booking deadline of DECEMBER 20th!!!

The pin won't help me though because our flights are booked and I can't change dates. Here's hoping for the GP release that's all abuzz!

I am going to venture a guess if it were coming when these current public offers were done we'd be hearing something rumor wise by now.

I think it will come but probably still be awhile yet.

The last time a big group of discounts came out, Touring Plans tweeted it on Friday afternoon. Those discounts came out the following Tuesday (I believe). So I'm watching TP's and Len Testa's twitter page today just in case.

You can make changes to your package without penalty at anytime before the 45 day mark. That includes switching discounts.

My daughter & sister recieved one of these disney cards with a pin number for free dining for this summer 2011. My daughter is together with us on our reservations that we already had booked for the hotel only. We did not have tickets or insurance added. So.. we were able to use it. If she were not going I could not have used it. I cannot use my sisters card and pin number or give the card to someone else. It had to be my daughter and her address and she will be able to prove who she is. We can't figure out why she got it. Last time we were at Disney my husband and I took the camper down to Disney 2007. My sister and her family and my daughter went. If I recieved this Disney card I have overlooked it! So.. there has to be a reason and some connection with my sister and daughter recieving it and leaves us wondering why we didn't. But I'm sure glad my daughter did get it! My husband just reminded me that our daughters name is different now then it was on our last vacation to Disney, because she is married now. So... I don't know how or why her and my sister both recieved it. My daughter did send earlier for information on a vacation and my sister had checked on price of a cruise and they are both from Tn. I don't know Maybe they are just lucky!

Sorry, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why and to whom Disney sends discount pin codes to some people and not to others.

Many people on here have the same story as yours and never receive a pin code - me included

Sorry I didn't give more details. Yes for our entire 11 day stay...so its $11.00 more per day.per person .same for kids I believe??

I posted this on the October Code Watch Thread because somebody had indicated there were many black out dates in Oct due to large conferences ongoing at WDW. So I emailed that info to my T/A and she replied that she checked the October dates for the free dining offer last year, travel in 2010. The available dates were 10/1-10/7 and 10/22-10/28 and that she has heard rumors that they may not do a free dining this October but instead do another kind of offer like a room sale. The current large offer for travel in the summer is 30% off the room or kids stay & play free. Whatever the offer is she'd make sure I got it, since it will undoubtedly be set prior to my final pay at the end of August. I, for one, would totally be psyched for a room discount, I'd probably upgrade. FD doesn't fit our eating patterns and I have dietary issues and "eating the plan" is difficult. However, I firmly believe there will be discounts abound between now and July because gas prices have people flummoxed about travel plans and they will need to entice folks to fill their quotas.

Well, we're checking in toward the end of September using last years free dining code (booked before we even took our trip last year) and it's coming up to book our ADRs Monday. So I would venture a guess that if Disney was going to release any kind of FD code for October that they would do it soon....since ADRs are going to have to be booked 180 out. I wish they would have extended it out in to October...would have made F&W Festival easier to attend...etc. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers. LOL

Ok so I just broke down and added dining to my room only ressie. I had to go through guest services since the 1st CM was telling me I couldn't do that because there was no available at POP. I told her that I could and she wanted to sell me the kids stay play deal. I asked her to transfer me to guest services and spoke to a great CM who took care of the package. Of course I asked her about FD and she knew nothing. She also told me the 1st CM I was speaking with was new and that it takes about 6 months to know the system. We did joke about me knowing how the ressie system works. I did ask her (playing dumb) if I wanted to modify if FD was offered. She joked and said you know how the system works. So heres hoping for FD!

Again, you need to call back. That information is TOTALLY WRONG. You can add/book up to 3 rooms under your discount code.

I don't undertand that. You can book up to 3 rooms under one pin code, no matter what the make-up of adults and children is. You do have to have separate reservations numbers if there is more than 2 adults, but the reservation numbers are still linked and can be booked under one code. I hate they are giving you so much trouble. You probably need to call back and ask for a CM manger.

Thank you! When I call back I will definately ask for a manager if they tell me something like that again. I am just waiting for them to confirm they are going, I dont want to go thru it if they decide not to come.
