Free Dining 2010 Dates???

Anyone want to speculate on whether or not there will be free dining in 2010 and when it will begin an end? Personally, I'm hoping it will start the 2nd week of August!

Were hoping for Mid Sept . We have 11 people going and it would be wonderful. Missed it last year Ended the 1st day of our trip. Went with a larger group and people could not move there trip up a week. But we did get 40 % off our rooms

The bounce-back free dining this year is Aug. 15-Sept. 30. Not sure if the GP FD will mirror the same dates or not. Time will tell.

thats when I am hoping for.

I want the end of August/first week of sept but dont know yet when the kids will go back to school. It has always been after Labor Day but last year they went back before.

I can't remember- if your trip starts during the dates, do they allow free dining for the entire trip? I believe a few years ago they did, but it seems like they changed to the hard deadline 2 or so years ago.

I just read a post on another thread and apparently in the past as long as you booked your trip before the free dining end date, you had free dining your entire trip.

What happens if you are planning for August 14 thru the 28th ? Do I have to make 2 ressies? One for the 14th and the other for the 15th thru the 28th?

We are going 11-28 through 12-06 and have already booked the dining FREE dining would be so much better though. I have heard from some people that they had it in early December 2009 so I'm hoping they do it again....They have to realize that the more I save on stuff like that, the more I spend on other stuff!

You did have to last year. I'm not sure what they will do this year. If you do, then plan on the 14th being your DTD or resort day so that you don't need one day park passes. You will need the park passes with your dining plan reservation.

Only if there is availability at your chosen resort during your time frame.

That is eactly what I did in Sept !!! I had my TA callthe day I head about FD and I saved $1700

When I was there this past Sept/Oct I booked the free dining bounceback for Sept 25-Oct 3 2010. Usually free dining ends on a weekend, but for some reason the bounce back free dining offer for 2010 ended on a Wednesday (Sept 29th). I needed to check in on a weekend, so had to pick Sept 25th as our check in date. The CM verified that we'd get free dining for our entire trip. I mentioned that I had really wanted to check in the following weekend, so we could catch a full week of the Food & Wine Festival. She said that was why the free dining dates had been moved back a week for next year, to avoid people being able to have free dining and the F&W Festival.
