Free Dining 2008 Watch

I got through at exactly 7am with no hold at all...I was able to adjust my current reservation to add free dining and keep my 2 pop century preferred rooms!!! I am ecstatic! I am sorry that there are so many of you on hold....sending you all some pixie dust!

Well, as this is now my second time in the que, having been cut off the first time by the CM, I have now been on hold 1hr & 8min & counting.........Grrrrr!!!

1 hr 10 mins on Travel Agent Line

I was on hold for about 30 min. I already had ressies, but I had to change from POFQ King to a Pop preferred w/ King request. Oh well, at least i'm saving about $450!

Does anyone know how much it is to upgrade to deluxe dining? Has anyone done that? Online, it looked like it added 300 or so dollars. That seems like a lot!

Hi Megan,

We had booked and prepaid for full Deluxe Dining Plan months ago. The CM for Free Dining told me we'd get $831 back if we just took Free Dining, and we'd get $455 back if we wanted Deluxe Dining upgrade still.

So, for a 6-night stay, its about $376 for the 2 of us to upgrade Free Dining to Deluxe Dining.

I'm not sure hold times are first-come, first-serve... Being Disney, I'm sure they have some really really fancy call centers equipment and I wonder if they possibly could be tagging all inbound calls with a "wait priority" based on what part of the US (or World) they are calling from in order to prevent 1 specific region from filling up all the Free Dining rooms?

Wouldn't surprise me at all.....

Trying to make reservations online. I followed the special link on the website but it seems to be adding the cost of the dining plan instead of giving me the free dining. Am I doing something wrong?

I am done! Got on hold right at 7am and the CM picked up at 8:03, done at 8:20!

We got everything we wanted:

PO Riverside: Alligator Bayou - water view room
Sept 15-Sept 22
7 day ticket, park hopper, no water parks and FREE DINING!!

YEAH!!! Now I just have to get DH to sit down and help me figure where we are eating so I can make the ADR's.

Just a note, she asked me for a code and I said CMP - she said that is a Disney VISA cardholder code, but she had the correct code.

My mum in law just got in on the 877# and we got what we wanted!!!

Pop from 9/6 to 9/12 for Grammy, Auntie, Us and our kids 6 and 4.
