Free Dining 2008 Watch

Well we originally booked at the AAA travel show and we were going to get two $50 dollar gift cards [one a disney one from disney and the other from AAA for booking at the show] Also, I think you receive AAA diamond parking at the parks as well as some kind of discount cards for some restaurants. I don't have all the stuff here in front of my but I think those were the selling points for us.

I am so excited....was on the phone for 45 minutes and got to work 30 minutes late today and unfortunately the Family Suites were not elegible for the free dining but got my second choice of 2 rooms at Pop Century!!!

You might want to check back if you really want the Family Suites. i just booked it this morning for 9/4-9/8. Got my email confirmation that shows free dining. I also talked to two different agents and they both said it qualified. Price for 6 people(one of them under 2), 4 nights in a family suite, 5 base tickets and free dining was $1200. HTH!

They applied it to my whole stay. Going the 20th - 27th. They just added to my existing res. It was a lot easier then I thought it would be. I didn't even have to give him a code. My CM was awesome. SO I am booked.

I have read that FD is sold out at POP already.

I can not call until Thursday. I already have ressie's for 9/17 - 9/28 at POP. My question is will I not be able to stay at POP since it is already sold out? Or will the FD just be added to my existing ressie at POP?

If not, I need to decide what other resorts we want.

I can not call until Thursday. I already have ressie's for 9/17 - 9/28 at POP. My question is will I not be able to stay at POP since it is already sold out? Or will the FD just be added to my existing ressie at POP?

If not, I need to decide what other resorts we want.

I'm not worried about it, and I don't think any of you guys should be either. Last year everything went perfectly fine, even after months and months of anxious posts.

Have fun! I'm in Gastonia, NC. I went with friends last year and will NEVER do it again. They're good people but, as far as WDW goes, it was hard spending time with them because they are lazy. I made ADR's for everyone and they decided not to show up at the last minute. They complained about the walking every 3 minutes, about the food at Boma(It wasn't American enough) . Anyway, I hope you have a good time.

DH and I lived in Livingston Parish from birth (1970) until 2002. We moved due to DH's job. We do LOVE NC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are a bit nervous about going with another family. We have done several other vacations with them (Disney Cruise last fall ), though, so we do know a bit of what to expect. They know that I am a WDW fanatic and that I am obsessed with planning. They are letting me book all of the ADRs and all of the plans. Hopefully everything will go smoothly!

Wow! I just read your location. My family is originally from Louisiana too, now living in NC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if you had the money now, you couldn't book Southwest anyway. I've been watching it for weeks and you can't book that far out yet. This is posted on their site:

"CURRENT OFFERS - Now accepting reservations through August 22, 2008. On April 18, we plan to open the schedule for purchase through October 30, 2008. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently."

I posted this Saturday morning. Nothing's changed as of today.

I wouldn't worry. I heard they hold a certain amount of rooms for the visa holders and a certain amount for the general public. The All-Stars are good too. Just think free dining that makes it okay! Just call right at 7:00 I am sure you will get what you want!

Got 5 USAIR tickets PHL - MCO not mid week Friday - Sunday All fees and taxes $217 each. Bought a month ago ...... Before 2nd bag rule of $25 each way.

I had a res booked with AAA for the room discount it was 300 cheaper. Well with free dining you can't get the room discount too. So I asked her will she call and get the free dining when its released. Well she said just call and leave your Visa info on my voicemail. I will get in after 8 and see if I can get it for you!

Well needless to say I canceled with her and booked with Disney saved more money with free dining. I called right at 7 and got what I wanted. We are staying at POR. It seems like it would be fun. I hear there is a great slide and a fishing hole fun!

They will release more on Thursday for General public. So I wouldn't worry about it. Call right at 7am(Eastern) and you will be on hold for a while but I am sure you will get POP.
