Didn't everyone say that last year and they still offered free dining

Many of those people could NOT get the promotion at their original resort choices - the rooms they booked on speculation, because, well, those rooms were already booked.

I already have a package booked, but if they come out with free dining I might use the savings to upgrade from the WL to the Contemporary. (Assuming it's available)

I've read here about only needing a one day MYW to get the deal (per past years), but I had read somewhere months ago that dining would be tied not to room nights, but to ticket days for future "free dining." I think that's how the UK ressies were going? Anyone have hints from "bounceback - free dining" ressies they made or from ressies out of the UK?
I know I'll have to buy some kind of MYW tix, but it's less scary buying one day tix than seven day tix. We have APs that don't expire 'til October, so whatever tix I may buy will be saved for a future trip.

We made bounceback ressies last September, and dining was definitely tied to nights booked, not tickets. We have AP's, and so only bought the basic, one day ticket.

I'm planning a trip in September (21st to 27th). I am also trying to "rent" points to stay at BWV. If I do get the points and stay at BWV, am I eligible to receive the free ddp?
This is all sooooo new to me!!

No free dining for DVC.

Be aware that you can, however, purchase the dining plan through the DVC member you are renting from, without a requirement that you buy a package with tickets.

You should calculate whether the discount you'd receive on the room through a DVC rental would be more of a value to you than the free dining plan, since you'd pay for a rack rate room to get the free dining.

yes, all resorts are generally included, but not all are available for specific dates... we tried desperately to get CSR for our dates last year and were unable to... but if we changed our dates we would have been fine... (keep in mind that CSR hosts a lot of conventions)

I can't believe I just found this thread now!! We went last year in late October, and we're trying to decide when we want to go this year: same time as last year, between Thanksgiving/Christmas (would be around my bday, which would be fun!), or try for the free dining. I'm getting nervous about availability of resorts & ADRs just reading through this thread, and I don't even know if we're going to try for the free dining yet!

For those of you with a package planned with AAA, don't worry. We had a package booked with AAA in Sept. 06. I knew nothing about free dining. Our package had the dining plan on it-our first time trying it based on the TA's recommendation. The day the free dining was announced, I was at work. I came home to a message from my TA on my machine about the free dining, and that the cost of it had been deducted from my package. This year's TA is waiting to hear like everyone else. She said I'd probably know before her, 'cause I'm on this board so much!!! She thinks our chances are good, so we are hoping! I have already e-mailed her the rumored release dates. My package is paid up to where only the dining package is still on there. So, if we get free dining, I'm paid in full! WoooHOOO!

Hey everyone!! I know that the Fd dates are all speculation at the moment but I just had a quick question...

Currently, we have our vacation booked with AAA for September 26-October 5th due to the kids going to "year around" school and this will be when they're 2 week break is.

So anyways, if we arrive on these dates and the Free dining does end the 27th of September, 1 day after we arrive; will we only receive the promo for the 1 day or will we have it our entire stay since we arrived before the promo ended???

We visited DW for the first time last September and had such a fantastic time visiting all the parks and eating all that great food while on the free DDP we'd hate to miss out this year!

Any help that anyone can offer is sooo appreciated and thanks in advance to everyone!

It would be announced a length of time - generally several days - before it would be available to book.

On the first (and every subsequent day) that it is available to reserve, Disney's reservation lines open at 7 AM Eastern.
