Yes, once they apply a code to the package that results in an overpayment, they can and will process a refund to the card with which the payment was made. However, it isn't instantaneous. If I remember correctly refunds are processed manually and can take a week or so to appear in you account.

How exactly is the free dining announced? Disney releases the info to who- (and how)? I have heard that this board will be lit up . Only time I had free dining before, a parent of one of my students heard about the promotion on the radio. she knew I was going during the promotion time frame and told me about it. I was ready to call my AAA TA when I got home from work, but message from her waiting on my machine when I came home! I'll be checking this board every day in April. Anything else I need to do? ( I am making my ADR's tomorrow a.m. )

Last year i think some of the members here broke the news out first...and then Disney officially announced it shortly after.....

I don't understand. We have 2 nights booked for the POP 9/18-9/20 (after our cruise). We planned on only buying MNSSHP tickets and relaxing. Now I here about the free dinning. Do you need a package to get this or is it for resort guests reguardless of tickets or not? Also, do You cancel old Res and re-book or do they add the free dinnng if I call them. If you need themepark passes and resort stay, then it's not us anyway and I won't worry about waiting for the announcement! thanks for any info!

You have to book a package and I'm pretty sure there is a minimum night stay too. Not sure how that would work coming off a cruise though

You need to book a package with tickets to get the free dining.

I've only booked it once in the past, and at that time it required a three-night minimum stay.

I think I read where the free hopper upgrade for water parks and more expires on the 21st of march just maybe Disney is waiting until that promo is over to announce a New One??????????? I think there is still hope even though everyone new last year by the 16th!

Man, I cannot wait!

Anyhow, I had an in length convo with the cm, rebooking, and he said. That he has heard it will be offered to the public in April of 2008. Now I know, listening to a cm, can be taken with a grain of salt. But, who knows. He may possibly be right!!

Anywho, I again hope everyone gets in on it. If they want it!

Sounds good! And I'm hoping it is offered the full last week of August! Or earlier also! I'm hoping the cm is right that you spoke to ! And like I said I'm hoping for all my dates to be included!

Well people, the current promotion Disney has out for the free park ticket upgrade doesn't end until 3/21/08 so we will probably hear something after that promotion ends.

We booked our trip and included Dining. But we have promised ourselves that if there is any way possible that we get the free dining we will go to Discovery Cove with the savings. (If not I will have to get a second job to save for DC, I really want to go but it is SO much $$).
Can't wait to find out!
