Things have changed! You can get the Free Dining in 2008 with the ASMu Family Suite. We tried this year (Free Dining 2007) and weren't allowed.

No one ever "mentioned" the Bounceback Free Dining in 2008; however, upon entering our room we found the two flyers posted elsewhere on the boards.

Our family stayed at Pop Century last year in August and this year in September for Free Dining. However, we are no longer a family of 4 (my 2 year old son will be 3 in October 2007) so no more Pop for us (unless we book 2 rooms).

I called prior to checking out on our last day expecting to book a deluxe to accomodate our new family size - 5. After explaining our new family size to the rep, he stated that our options were to book two value rooms, POR with a trundle, a deluxe, or the ASMu Family Suite.

I said, "Wait... You can book the ASMu Family Suite with the Free Dining promotion for 2008?!" He said, "I think so." So, I thought sure - fully expecting that the reservation wouldn't go through.

I was wrong!!! It did. He gave me my confirmation # and I about flipped. I couldn't wait for it to be loaded so I could check it out on disneyworld.com to again squash my suspicions. When I got home, there it was. Room says PREFERRED. (I was relieved. Remembering reading on the Dis about the Family Suite saying PREFERRED on the ressie.) Just to make triple sure, I planned a trip with our same dates and information minus dining and the price is the same.

We are staying the same week as we did this year - next year in the ASMu Family Suite. :grouphug:

:woohoo: I'm so happy for you! You all won't know what to do with that much more room. Have a great trip!!!

We have 4 kids :grouphug: and did the preferred adjoining room thing at POP for free dining 2 weeks ago as the suites were not an option with the free dining. With the doors open between both rooms it was the best of both worlds for us...my wife and I had a king size bed in the one room and the kids had 2 double beds to share in the other. And having 2 toilets and 2 showers sure got us moving in the morning! But I will now look into how much is to be saved in a week by booking the suite as opposed to the 2 adjoining value rooms.

Good for you. If you want to join the list of us on the 08 ASMu list it is in my siggy. Have fun!

Have you figured out how much per night the suite is? We booked the bounceback at POP but I'm curious as to what the rate is at the suites! Thanks!

There is no savings by booking a suite. Actually the suite is $20 more a night compared to booking 2 value rooms. However, for that $20 a night, you do get a kitchenette which includes a larger frig, a microwave and coffeepot, and I think a toaster (not sure). A separate area to fix your meals. I think the extra money is worth it just for the living area during the day (sofa and chairs).

Has free dining opened up to the rest of the world? Or just people who booked while there for this year for free dining?

I do not believe the free dining promotion has been released to the general public yet. Look for it around April. That is usually when it is released each year.

That's Great!! I'm Happy for you!!

Hello, New to the boards and this is my first post...:wave2:

Just a quick question....You said that the free dining codes come in april right?... can I book it now and apply the code to my preexisting ressie? (and price) or are they only applicable to new ressies? (meaning higher price)... :confused3: ....thanks

Welcome :welcome:
That is exactly what I did last year when I got the free dining code. So I would imagine it would be the same for next year. I am lucky and got my free dining during the bounce back period.
