Do you think they will offer it in 2008? I'm considering booking a value for 3 nights in September in advance and hoping to apply the free DDP code to it once it becomes available to us "regular" folks.

If they don't offer it or for some reason I can't get it, I would get my $200 back right?

It's hard to predict what WDW will do, but since they have already offered it as a "Bounceback" Free DDP offer to guests staying at a WDW resort this past Aug/Sept (extended into Oct) for them to pre-book Free DDP for next year, I bet they will offer it again around April for the "regulars"! Well I hope anyway! :cutie:

The dates they offered to them were for stays next year 8/30 - 9/27/08, so September looks like a "go" to me - jmo though. Also, as far as I know, you will get your $200 back as long as you cancel more than 45 days out.

Just another FYI though - you can book something, but when and if the Free DDP package comes out, when you call in you might want to have a 2nd resort choice ready. I have read posts previously where DISers have booked a resort way in advance, then when Free Dining came out and they called in they were told that their resort had no Free DDP availability at that time! :upsidedow Even though they were already holding a res at that resort, there was no Free DDP left there, so they couldn't switch their res over to Free DDP and they had to switch resorts! :goodvibes

I guess after all, there are Bounceback, UK Res, and Disney VISA cardholders who have already booked by the time it's announced to the general public....;)

when it was offered to the general public last year?
THANKS!

THANKS!

It came out for Disney VISA cardholders on 4/9/07, then 3 days later on 4/12/07 it came out for general public (both exp 6/24/07), and was for stays between 8/26 - 9/22/07 - BTW you had to check in by 9/22, but it was good for the length of your stay :goodvibes

The free dinning is definitely worth it. The only complaint I had was the very hot weather. Have they ever offered free dinning during other times of the year?

Free dining is being offered to UK residents at the moment, think we have to book by November 3, but for next Aug/Sept it is not available at the value resorts, only at the mods and delux and there is a minimum stay of 5 nights. I know this year the US offer was different to the UK offer, but its something to keep in mind.

We booked the last week in Sept. 2008 again at POP during the bounce back while we were there this Sept. So during the bounce back value resorts were available. Couldn't pass up at least booking, we could cancel 45 days out from our booked date and get the $200 dollar downpayment back. But I can't see not going. The free DDP can't be beat!
