Free DDP in 2007 speculation

OT- I would like to know why you would buy a 6 day non-expiring vs a 10-day. I'm having a hard time deciding what to purchase for our next trip & thought maybe I'm missing something.
We bought six day expiring passes, not non-expiring passes. I fixed my message, above.

Ahhhh man!!!

We put getting married on the back burner to do Disney AGAIN, this year. If they do THAT again - I may never get married! ;)

not to take exception with what you said but, we did not have to buty tickets for everyday of our vacation. I was told that we had to buy a 1 day base ticket for each member of our party but that was it.
That is all we bought and we have been given credits for our whole stay.

Maybe they changed it after we booked??? Not sure but that is what happened with us.
Visitors from the UK were given these extra restictions for booking in 07, US visitors DO NOT have to buy tickets for each day, but for 07, if free dining is offered again, we may HAVE to!

I can only hope that they have this next year...and I can only hope and wish that I'd have enough $$$ to do this...

As Bicker said Disney offers free dining during times that are normally very slow. Hurricane peak season, back to school time, etc. I would not even consider May a possiblity. The Epcot Flower and Garden show is in May and they don't have any problems getting people to come then.

Since they have already confirmed Late August/September for UK visitors I feel sure they will offer that again for US residents. I agree, I would not be surprised to see the ticket situation change also.

I agree with the other posters. While I think it may be offered again in Aug/Sep 07, I think we will see much more restrictions regarding lenght of stay tickets. I will have to crunch the numbers to determine if it will work for us then. I believe the UK packages also have a 5 night minimum too. We had planned to do the Free DDP in 07 if offered and combine it with a DVC stay at the BCV. I was hoping for 3 day package, then moving to the BCV with no ddp. Guess I'll have to wait for spring to decide if we'll add a non-DVC stay to our trip. We did the free ddp in 2005 and 2006 and bought one day tickets each time (still have some of them too).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they offer it again in '07. It is the main reason we decided to change our 2007 trip from early December (my DW LOVES Christmas stuff) to September. I made my ressies last week, but I did not include the DDP on it yet. I already have the MYW tickets and all of that jazz, so I'm guessing I can just add the DDP to my package at a later date since I was able to do that in 2005. If they don't offer the free DDP, then I'll just have to figure out if we want to spend the money on it, or just go the el-cheapo route and eat mostly CS stuff. Ah, who am I kidding? I'll be getting the DDP whether I have to pay for it or not. I'm just waiting to add it until after I hear if it is free or not.

Only if you'll keep your reservation anyway, even if free dining isn't offered. Booking now doesn't help you secure a spot for free dining any better than if you just wait and book when the promotion is announced. You'll still have secure one of the limited-capacity free dining promotion offers, then, and having a reservation already won't give you any priority.
