Free DDP Booking SUCCESS!!? - Post 'Em Here!

Called the 800# at 11:45, was on hold 10 minutes or so.

Was able to modify an existing reservation and get CBR from 9/17-22 for 2 adults for $1260.94 (with 6 day base MYW)

  :cool1: :cool1:

Though he made me put down a second deposit of $200, for $400 total. I'm not sure what that was about. It didn't add anything to my total, just means that I owe less when it comes due.

Unless you booked 2 rooms, etc? You should have only had to put down $200.00??

I do realize this was asked earlier, but I notice a lot of people getting the base 1 day ticket for your whole family. Do you all have annual passes you plan on using once you get there? Just curious!

I've been working out the numbers and it seems cheaper to go with package deal (dh only has the AP and we'd just not renew it) and get the length of stay tickets afterall for all of us. It doesn't look like we'll be able to swing 2 trips like I mentioned/asked about this morning (once in July and again in Sept for free dining).

Just wondering!

Thanks,
Deb*

Yes, everyone has to buy at least a one day ticket for everyone getting free dine. We only bought one day because we already had days left over from our non-ex-passes we have already. But it is still a good deal even if you need to buy tickets, everyone has to have a ticket one way or another to get into the parks:rotfl:

Sept. 22-29 @ POR. Called EXACTLY at 7 a.m. and was on hold for 1 hour, 3 minutes. Just moved my trip from 10/14-20 and added free dining. Two adults, one child. Five-day hopper. Grand total of $1895.05.

This is my third year on the free dining program.

We got 2 rooms but had to switch resorts to CBR. 1 room for 3 nights with a 3 day base tix was $695 for 1 person and the other room was 7 nights, 4 people, 8 day park hopper and water park option for $2315. FREE dining for both!!!!!

Our Disney Visa arrived in the mail this afternoon!  I called around 3:30 p.m. and booked POP for 9/7 - 9/15. This will be our 3rd year with free dining. Its so much more relaxing when the food is FREE!

My TA, Jessica  booked 1 regular room at POR while I was on my way to a college visit with two teenagers:scared: :scared1: :rotfl: Five of us will be eating to our hearts content   Sept 21-Oct 1...now to get the best flights!

Great Timing Skater!

Called at 7:00 this morning and was on hold for 45 mins. before I had to leave for a meeting. Called back at 8:40 EST and waited about 40 mins and got through. Exactly what I wanted - POP 9/15 - 9/22 2 rooms standard, connecting, 2A and 2 Ch, 8 day park hoppers w/water parks and FREE dining! $2505. Only had to put down $200 deposit even though it was two rooms. And she asked me the first 6 digits of my credit card before we started. Never stayed on site before! Never wanted to stay in a value, but the price for 2 rooms and the extra space and privacy make it an excellent deal.

I still have not received an email offer or seen anything about the code. So THANK YOU DISERS!

My TA was on hold for 1 hr and 45 mins this morning but we got it! :woohoo:

Sept 14-22 at CBR, preffered room, 10 day hopper, non-expiration for $2215! This is for 2 adults and 1 junior.

We may upgrade to an AP once we figure out our vacation plans for next year.

I am so excited!!! I made all of my ADR's last week. It is so funny, we are so excited to go to Disney but all we keep talking about is our dining reservations and how much we love the restaurants we are going to.

Good luck everyone!

Just booked 22-29 Sept with free dining at POR. I dont know if I actually got to "hold" before a CM was with me to take my reservation down. No problems. He said at least with POR the rooms are turning over so fast for people dropping and rebooking (either there or upgrading to a deluxe) that theres no way to get a good count on whats left or how fast they are going. I asked him about others in our party witout the disney visa and he seemed to think it shouldnt be a problem to get them into a moderate, most likely POR. I think the thursday people will be just fine.

Why no expiration? I see you are new, just want to make sure you are getting the best deal.

Do you plan to use all 7 days this trip?

Hi Nicknamy,

I prefer no expiration as I really don't expect us to use all the days, and I like keeping a few days 'in my pocket' so to speak (I have some 5 and 10-year old passes with valid days on them still!). My wife and I used to be CMs @ Epcot, so we've been a lot, but we have intentionally stayed away for (what will be) three years as of this visit. I think one day per park (with a 2-year old in tow we won't be hopping) should be ideal. Plus a waterpark day most likely. Thanks for checking, though - I appreciate it!

Andy

I called this morning and was on hold an hour 45 minutes. Sheesh, LOL, good thing I had nothing else to do today.

Anyway, we got what we wanted. POFQ from 9/7 - 9/16 (9 nights), Standard Room, two adults and one child, one day base tickets... $1673.

We have APs and don't need the tickets, but we'll save them for a future trip. Even with the purchase of the one day tickets we don't need right now we're still saving a good bit.

I just now got the email from Disney Rewards. Did anyone get it this morning?

9/21 - 9/27 Pop Century - Mother/Daughter trip - with Free Dining it was too cheap to pass up!!! Good luck everyone!!!

6n/7d, 6 day park hoppers 2 adults $1084.38 and waaaaay too much food! !!

Pooch

Several weeks ago we booked at POP thru AAA, we asked about free dining then and the TA said they would just add free dining if they were going to have it this year so we should book now. This morning my DW went into AAA and asked the TA if she could now add the free dining, The AAA TA had no clue that Disney had started the free dining. We had already made the $200 deposit on the Disney Visa card and said we would like to have the free dining added as you said you would if Disney add it. The AAA TA had to call Disney to confirm this and change the reservations but we lost POP and had to settle for ALL Star Music which we did last year, this was fine because the dining is great and you spend little time at the Resort other then sleeping but disappointing not to get POP and just wondering if this is going to run into June and POP and Movie are already booked this may end in a week unless they have blocks saved that they may release on Thureday for those without the card and for those booking in May and June??
Well see you there Sept. 22 thru Sept. 30:cool1:

Wow...I can't believe those are already gone! Those are my two top choices :sad1: I hope they open more rooms for it on Thursday. Is it still Thursday - someone who got the email mentioned it was opening to the general public on April 22nd - not 12th...can anyone confirm/deny this??

After 90 minutes on the phone this morning, we got POFQ once again for late August/Labor day weekend.

Details: 8/31-9/3 (3 nights), 2A,1J, 1 day base and dining: $706.89

It was considerably more with the 40% off room pin package with dining a couple of months back - I believe in the $850 range.

So I got through this morning after an hour and five minutes!!! My dad and mom are coming with us and this will be my dad's first trip to WDW EVER!!! I was absolutely giddy with excitement after booking. Free Food Again!!!
