You are going to MNSSHP too, aren't you? I thought I noticed you over in that thread too, we are planning to go Friday 9/28. The only LTT dinner res they had open (for now) was right at 4pm! She said they may open more when the party is announced.

THANKS SO MUCH! I DID JUST BOOK ON DISNEY.COM AND GOT MY ROOM AND USED MY DISNEY VISA FOR THE DEPOSIT! I WILL CALL THIS AFTERNOON AFTER THE RUSH AND ADD THE CODE.

I ALSO HAVE TO CANCEL MY ROOM ONLY 40% OFF AT PORT ORLEANS. I HOPE THAT I CAN JUST MOVE THAT MONEY OVER TO MY NEW RESERVATION.

I don't think they can move the money, one will be canceled and refunded in a few days ( I think) and the new one charged to your card..Still worth it!

I didn't start calling until 8:00, then had to hang up a few times, but at 9:30 tried and was only on hold for about 25 minutes, and got:

ASMovies 8/26-9/4 (only preferred was available) with 10 day ticket and free dining for 2 adults, 2 kids for $2100. And I even managed to book round trips on continental from Newark to MCO for $118 r/t!!! I'm so excited!!

Applied for our Disney Visas last Thursday after reading about the Free Dining here on the DIS board.

Received them this morning at around 10:30. They have Mickey on them - so cute!

Called Disney and waited only 2 minutes!!!!

Booked CBR, 2 connecting preferred rooms, 13 nights (9/12-9/25), 10 day Park Hopper tickets for 6 (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 children), no insurance (though we may add it on)...total: $6,235.42.

20th Anniversary trip (not the right month but close enough!!!!) - booked!!!!!

Time to see about those bride ears!

Finally got it.

In the middle of booking our 4 rooms at POP, they told us there were no more rooms in the standard, so 1 of our rooms is in the preferred.

We got: 3 rooms from Sept 21-27, and 1 room Sept 21-Oct 2nd. All at POP.

Still got all we wanted though-even with the phones systems being iffy at best with some of us holding nearly 2 hours plus and others 20-30 mins.

Guess it all worked out though.

Actually they can just switch over your reservation & deposit. That is what the did with mine. They just modify your existing reservation. Your confirmation code even remains the same

If you don't mind my asking, were you able to keep your AAA discount on the room with this pkg or did you lose that for the free dining?

Last year some people have stated they were able to apply free dining to their AAA discounted pkg so I was curious about this year.

Basically, my package was $1348.28 after the AAA room discount. Minus -356.76 for the free dining = 988.52. So not sure if mine included the room discount or not...due to not knowing the free dining per day per person price.


For those using AAA...let your agent do the work. I emailed mine last night, by 10am this morning I received my email stating I have been switched and the money saved!

From a totally different confirmation? Last year when I had a AAA booking I had to cancel one, through the CM, and wait for a refund, then charge my card for the new one even though the dates and resort were the same. For a few days I had two deposits on my card..Is this a change?

We got Sept 1-8 at Pop, two connecting rooms because we have 3 kids. We have 2 days left on old tickets so we got 4 day base tickets and insurance and FREE dining for $2389. Now if I can just get my brother to take his family then, we will be able to do some GG activities!

Only one code per reservation, despite what has been posted. My AAA agent switched my ressie this morning. I gave up my AAA discount for the free dining.

Got CSR Sept 5th-15th Waterview (hoping for king rooms to open up!!--if not, I'll switch to POFQ), 10 day PH w/h20 parks & FREE DINING!!

So excited & so happy! Surprising DH w/entire trip! I can't wait! Had to let go of AKL (& 40% code) dream, but it saved me $431.20! No brainer!! It's Disney, it's free dining & it's our 7th anniversary! Come on September!!

Last year they added the code ( don't know if new package) to mine and I didn't need a new deposit. They applied the other deposit!

So, I wanted to ask if any of you used someone else's card to make your reservation. A card of a non-family member (so last name is different)? What did they ask you, were there any issues with making that reservation? Did you have the cardholder call, or did you call with their information? I want to be prepared when I call, a friend has graciously offered her card so I can make my plans. Is CRO going to have an issue if I call with her infomation?

I sooooo hope it's true that you can simply modify the exsisting ressie. It sure does seem like alot of trouble to cancel and then try to rebook. With the way ressies are flying off the shelf it would stand to reason that the room you cancel could be whisked away while trying to reserve another !?!?!

Just got Pop standard room 8 nights (8/26-9/3) w/ 1 day base tickets: $886.30.

Was only on hold for about 15 minutes. Strange, because I called three times, and the first two times I got a recording that said, "all circuits are busy, please try your call again."
