We have the Free DDP for August/Sept of this year, which we booked back in September of last year (not on the bounceback)

I have heard a few people on the bounceback saying they have upgraded to DxDDP.

Is it possible to do this with free dining? And if so, how much does it cost?

Thank you :goodvibes

$32 per night per adult, $9 (I think) per child.
If the CM you call says it can't be done, ask them to contact Guest Services.

So...you are not on the bounceback?? I didn't know you could book FREE dining a year in advance...that's a new one to me.

Yeah - the OP is from England (I just noticed, after reading post 3 :))

The 'rules' for their package may be different from the BounceBack/Future Stay promotion.

The OP really needs to contact whatever person or agency they booked the trip with.

YES!!! It is possible to upgrade to the DxDDP. When "bouncing back".
The cost was about $30-32 a night for adults and about $11.00 a night for kids.

And by the way I really enjoyed your trip review.....informative and funny....I cannot wait to try those Fiagaro Fries! Poor Els having to try the "Beverly".....I think my hubby should taste it first.....just to see if it's that bad!!!! :-)

Thanks for the replies! Yup, I booked Free Dining a year in advance, well almost, I'm from Wales in the UK (not England :sad2:  )

I booked direct with WDW through their website. I might give them a call and ask, as I think this is something we would really like to do, but as you say there could be different rules...

Has anyone else in the UK booked through WDW and been able to upgrade?

Thanks for the Dining Review comments :goodvibes And the Beverly IS that bad - BLEURGH!! :scared:

Totally off topic, but what is the difference between the UK and England. I thought it was all the same?

England is one country of the four that make up the United Kingdom: England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.

Wow! I never knew that! I think of UK as Brttish, but I don't think of Ireland as Brittish or even part of it. Now is Brittan (SP?) and England the same?

Britain and England are not the same - never let a Welsh or Scottish person hear you say that :sad2: :rotfl: Even though we (Eng & Wal - Scotland has its own) share the same parliament, etc... Wales is a separate country and we have our own Language, Assembly, National Anthem, Flag, Capital City and everything :goodvibes If you ever meet a Welsh person and let them know you are aware of the difference, you will have a friend for life

The countries that make up the United Kingdom are Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Great Britain is England, Wales and Scotland.

Ireland, or mainly Southern Ireland, is a completely different country to the UK/GB.

That is REALLY confusing! LOL!;)

Did you try and upgrade, because if its not too expensive I wouldn't mind doing it myself.

Okay, well, the BounceBack promotion in question IS the Free Dining promotion - so, yeah. If the CM says you can't, ask them to contact Guest Services. The 'regular' CMs may truly not be able to process the upgrade, but GS should.

To be honest, we decided not to upgrade this time... but only because we're going for 3 weeks, well 17 days in WDW and the cost would be silly

But we will pay OOP for a few extra TS meals which will amount to half the cost of the upgrade.

Ahem. Northern Ireland is part of the UK still. Not most of Ireland.

Thanks, Bumbershoot! Let me say it again, for clarity - Ireland is NOT part of the UK - Northern Ireland is. Ireland, free, proud and independent Ireland, is NOT part of the United Kingdom.

The UK is lovely place, I'm sure, regardless . . .

Hayley I read your dining review with great intrest as we have the Free DDP for Sept,do you think that the upgrade is worth it? We don't normally drink alcohol,as I'm always driving, even if we pay OOP for breakfast & a starter with every TS meal I don't know if it's worth it.Have you been able to do it?I'd be intrested in what it costs in £'s.
To all those that are confused by our geography calling a Scots man/woman English is probably the worst insult you can imagine::lmao:
SD:thumbsup2
