We like to stay at a hotel with free breakfast. Just enough to take the edge off! We stayed at the Park Inn and they had pastries, juice, milk, cereal, fruit, hot beverages.

Can anyone tell me about any other free breakfasts on Harbor Blvd., and what they serve.

Thanks!!

Candy Cane Inn : Hot and Cold cereal choices, juices, milk, coffee, toast, bagels & cream cheese, muffins, danishes, fruit... everything my family likes for breakfast!

The Caroulsel Inn, Park INN and Tropicanna INN all have breakfast in the morning.

Ive stayed at all 3 hotels and all 3 have the same breakfast options pretty much :)

Out of those three hotels, which one would you recommend? And why?
Thanks!

Candy Cane Inn has a wonderful free continental breakfast in the morning; however, it is ONLY served from 7-9 a.m. So, in case you are planning on sleeping in before heading to the parks, you'll be out of luck. The food they have is very delicious though! There aren't any hot items, but they have a wide variety of breakfast cereals, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, donuts, juice, and great hot chocolate!

I highly recommend staying at Candy Cane Inn. They have a shuttle service that takes you to the parks (it operates every half hour). The Inn is also located within walking distance of the main entrance.

My family has stayed at Candy Cane Inn for our past 5 visits to the parks over the past 16 years and have never been disappointed!

My favorite of the free breakfasts is Carousel, which is also my favorite hotel along Harbor.

Carousel serves toast w/butter and jelly, instant oatmeal, danish, muffins, fruit (usually apples and oranges), coffee, and juice. I like that oatmeal and fruit are always available.

Tropicana services danish, muffins, coffee and juice. Milk, cereal, and bagels are available for $1 each (so milk and cereal would be $2).

Desert Inn has danish, toast, coffee and juice. Sometimes they have also had apples.

Del Sol has toast, danish, coffee, juice, milk and cereal. However I have not stayed here since it changed over to the Del Sol, it was Best Inn when I was there so the breakfast may have changed.

When I stayed at Fairfield if you selected a room rate that included breakfast you would get an Egg McMuffin from McDonald's. That was many years ago though. I think they now offer their own with the typical danish and coffee.

Ho Jo does not have a breakfast. I have not stayed at BW Park Place but I've heard that you could either get the typical continental or get pancakes at the connecting restaurant. I have not stayed at any of the other hotels.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Anaheim (a Marriott hotel) on Harbor in August. They had wonderful suites with kitchens which was nice since there were 7 people in our group. Included in our stay was a wonderful breakfast buffet, which included eggs (with cheese, sausage or ham), potatoes, biscuits and gravy, various pastries/muffins, make your own waffles, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee and juice. We actually left the kids with my folks and went down and brought breakfast up to our room for everyone.

I forgot to mention, they also offered a Complimentary Hospitality Hour Monday through Thursday offering snacks and beverages in the evening.

We just came back from staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Garden Grove..about a 5 min shuttle ride on the ART.
They had a WONDERFUL FREE breakfast.... not to mention a very nice hotel!

Eggs, pancakes, waffles, sausage, danishes, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, fruit...
It is served 6am until 10am and don't mind if you pack some for the day :)
In fact if you are in a rush they have breakfast to go bags at the front desk/....No charge!

We just got home from Disneyland from a stay at Carousel Inn Oct. 12 - 16. The continental breakfast was horrible. They offer instant oatmeal, but no milk. Muffins, danish, toast, apples, and oranges. They also offer coffee and orange juice. We took advantage of it the first morning only. It is served 7-9am. It was sooooo crowded at 7:30am you could not navigate in the room. From then on we ate at Millies, which is next to McDonald's just a few doors down. Great food and good prices. We wanted to not pay for breakfast while we were there but we could only take that breakfast room once. The hotel is nice though!

Thanks alot for all your input!

I am still debating......
