Free cone for _________

Local frozen yogurt shop puts up a new name every day. If its your first name, you can get a free cone that day. My youngest daughter and I have done of twice, wife's name has been up there twice, but never when she had a chance to go by. Still waiting on oldest daughter's name (Veronica) to be up there.

Anyway, to the point:Usually pretty common names up there. Today's name though was "Chisem". Chisem? Is that really a name?

Well, I've certainly never heard it before. Makes me wonder if they gave away too much yogurt on "Steve" day and they're trying to recoup their losses

Because people don't always get a cone alone. If they had that here, if a name came up the whole family would go for a cone. So, one free cone plus 2 paid for cones plus a shake (what dh orders)
Maybe they got a letter from someone complaining that they have such an odd name that it would never come up, or they saw a birth announcement with that name so decided to run with it.

That was my thought too. I know people with Chisem as a last name, but none with it as a first name.

Are they using ethnic names? I'm sure Jesus, Montavious, Guadalupe, Mardoochee, Nae'Xavious and Dartanyan would like some free ice cream. (All of these are people I have met.)

I haven't seen any up there. They'd be pretty safe with those names around here, other than maybe Jesus. There are probably at most 50 Hispanics in the entire town.

As Disneyluvr said, there was a guy named Chisem on The Biggest Loser. The first and only time I've ever heard that name, although I think he spelled it without the 'e'. Wonder if they'd give him a free cone or reject him based on a technicality??
