My birthday is coming up (4/05) and I was wondering if any of my Budget Board friends can give me the lowdown on some good places to "celebrate"... maybe with a free lunch and/or dinner? I know if anyone has the answer you guys will...... :thumbsup2

Oooh..my bday is Saturday, too! Happy bday to both of us! BTW...I don't know any places that have free bday meals. I know a lot of corporate restaurants do birthday desserts for free, though!

Red Robin will send you a Free birthday burger if you sign up online...includes their bottomless steak fries and they let you pick any burger. You usually have a 2 week window to use the coupon so you dont have to use it on your exact birthday.

Happy Birthday!

You get a sundae too!

Thank you Kingshocker04. That is a great link. You've made
many folks' birthdays more happy.

I was going to post about Red Robin - we just did this for DH's b'day!!!! he opted for no sundae, so they wouldn't come to the table and sing!:lmao:

Moe's will send you an email for a free burrito. Pizzaria Uno sent an email coupon for $10 off $25. For dessert, Coldstone will send you a coupon for a free ice cream! These are all the type where you have to register at their site. Most are good for at least a few days, if not weeeks - so you don't actually have to go on your birthday, but can "spread it out!!!"

:wizard:

I heard free....then what?

I just went to Shady Maple buffet for my free birthday dinner (unfortunatly its in PA) but it is an awesome buffet and you dont need to register, just have some form of id proving that its really your bday (and you must go on the actual day of).

It's all about the timing.
Went to Red Robin for my birthday last year. I coincidentally had to use the bathroom right before they brought out my sundae. DH said there were about 5 or 6 of them ready to sing. He said they looked disappointed that I wasn't at the table.:lmao:

I didn't know Shady Maple did free b-day dinner's. Is it for any age? I will have to inform DH. Hopefully one of our birthday's falls on steak night or prime rib night.

At our Red Robin's, we just request "no singing'' and the server simply brings us the sundae with no fanfare!

I know around here whenever anyone has a birthday we all head to Todai's to celebrate. Don't know if there is one where you are, but when dinner is about $26, it's a good deal to get it for free (or lunch)!

good tips!!! I will let him know - but now he has a year to wait!!!!:)

Don't go to the Pasta House....my BF and I went there for her birthday....and we casually mentioned that we were celebrating her 30th birthday and the server said, "Well, you must have something for your big day! Pick something out!!!" So my BF grudgingly chose a piece of cheesecake and they brought it to her with a candle. Well, when we received the bill, they had had charged her $7.00 for her own piece of birthday dessert (which she didn't even want to begin with):lmao: :lmao: We still get in the floor laughing about her pathetic birthday dinner where she had to buy her own cake....(actually I bought dinner for her:hug: ).
