Just got home from 5 days in Washington DC and we walked so much the kids said it was more then Disney. We had great weather and saw 5 Smithsonian museums, the Zoo, the Capital, the Washington Monument, WWII memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery in 3 1/2 days. The kids are exhausted after 6 hour ride home today and hopefully going to bed early.

It was HOT and humid in DC and the kids were complaining about it. We just kept drinking water and trying to stay out of the sun.

Make sure you have the shades available.

Well we are back from the beach part of our trip. It was great having nemo while we were at Pop. Thanks for letting my family be a part of the swap and I hope all you guys who are next have as good of a time with fresh coffee in the morning and cold water at the end of the day as we did.

I loved the photos of your DC trip. I grew up in Annapolis, MD and miss it like crazy. Used to go "get-tro" (what we called the "metro" - public transportation) into DC all the time!!! I can't wait until my kiddos are old enough to enjoy the Smithsonian and all the history up there.
