Here's a free app- MovieLingo (by Avalinx)

My DBIL made it (isn't that cool?!)!!! It's fun- it gives you a whole bunch of movie clips and you can either guess what move it comes from or just know right off the bat. It's free!

Just got DS's Touch and I can not download anything it keeps freezing up iTunes!!!! Got to go get him soon so I may have to wait until tommorrow to sort his out.

So my touch came today and I uploaded all of my new apps to it. At first I thought only two uploaded which is ichihuahua and CardStar because that's the only two pics that show on my homescreen. So I went to upload Spongebob straight from the touch but it said it was installed already. When i did a search on my homescreen, I found the rest of my apps. Is there any way for them to show up on my homepage (u know the app pic) and is there a reason why it doesn't currently? Thanks.

Can you post a screen shot of your "home" screen? To take a screen shot, you press the home button (the circle on the bottom) and the button on the top edge at the same time. it will then "flash" and the image will be saved in you Photo app on the iPod touch.

from there, you can email it to yourself and upload to here. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

"The folks at Blacksmithgames have come up with a really nifty idea. They've created an Advent calendar, or in their words, an appventcalendar. Each day from now until Christmas, a new door will open showing an iPhone game app that you can get for free, but only for one day.

Being December 1st, the first door just opened and what's behind it is 33rd Division [iTunes Link] a line-drawing stealth game where the goal is to escort your troops while avoiding enemy patrols. 33rd Division is for any iPhone or iPod touch running OS 2.2.1 or later. They also have a twitter feed (http://twitter.com/blacksmithgames) which states their servers got over worked today. From here, they list the name of the free app of the day, and you can go get it right from iTunes.

You're welcome! The MovieLingo app. is really fun. There's a lot of things on there like Anchorman, Borat, Godfather, etc. etc. etc.

Ok I found out you can have 9 pages of apps or 144 showing on the Touch anymore than that ans you will have to search to use them.

Does that help?

Glad the touch is my son's because that chrome body showing finger prints would drive me over the edge!!!

they have some awesome cases and screen protectors. I have had one on my original iPod touch I got two years ago and not a scratch on it.

I had trouble logging in to the Dis all evening. Anyway, my dd10 was playing on my touch (ibowl lol) and I told her I had spongebob on there but she'd have to search for it. She said she saw it and was already playing it. I said you saw it? Yes. On the home screen? Yes. so I told her to come out of the game and show me. Well there they were: Spongebob, iHusky, and Yumsters, the rogue three lol on PAGE 3! I don't know if they were always there but I never thought I had a page 3 because iChihuahua was the only one on page 2 so I would've though they would be listed there as well. Even my newer apps all listed after chihuahua on page 2.
Anyway, they are there and all is well. Yay!

ETA: I'm going to try the screenshot too. That is an awesome tip!

Thanks to the discussion in another thread, I bought an ifrogz case too! I got mine from ebay for $12.93 shipped. Overstock was out of stock of this color. This pic shows the iphone case but the one I bought IS specifically for the touch.

I couldn't see your pictures, but here is one of mine. I think my original instructions lacked a step......after you have the image on your computer, you need to upload it to a site like tinypic.com for others to be able to see... Sorry about that.

Above the dock (the four bottom icons) you can see a little magnifying glass, and a few dots. These dots represent the pages your apps are on. (for instance, this is page 5 of 5). The easiest way to arrange them is in iTunes (starting at version 9 the current version). A quick overview can be found here.

The default space for a new application is the next available space. But you can have pages with only one or two apps on it if you want to. But 9 pages is the most you will see (there can be more, but you won't see these pages) and each page will have the same 4 icons in the dock, and up to 16 on each screen.

hey, is it possible to use the free Facebook app on a 2nd generation iTouch? I downloaded it but when I tried to sync it to the iTouch, it said that it wouldn't work.

yeah took me a couple of days after I got my iphone to figure that out too

DS has been home sick today so have not been able to play with his touch

No worries. Anything I can do to help. It was always possible on the device itself, but it is a new feature of iTunes 9 to do so in the app.

The requirements for the Facebook app is basically iPhone OS 3. So if you have a 2nd generation iPod touch, and purchased it prior to June of this year, you would have had to upgrade to iPhone OS 3 for this app. Many apps are now requiring iPhone OS 3 as it had several improvements from the prior versions. iPhone users get the updates free. I think for this update, it was $4.99 for iPod touch users. Not only worth it, like I said, most new apps require it.
