Free Appetizer w/American Express?

I know that Confisco Grille once had a special that if you paid with your American Express card you could get a free appetizer. I read recently that other restaurants do this too. Is this true? I was thinking of Finnegan's.

I believe at Finnegans you can two free dessert shooters. You also get either a free app or dessert at Mythos and at least four restaurants in Citywalk. Not sure exactly which ones.

Is there a web page or something that outlines the American Express discounts? I only use mine for Costco, but might be willing to make an exception.....

Do they post it or tell you at the restaurant or is this something you have to know going in?
