Hi all,

Just thought I would pass on some info as most people do not realise that your child DOES NOT have to be age 3 or over to take advantage of this offer.

My husband and I purchased our Drream passes this week and I enquired about our DS who is not 3 until Oct and would he qualify for a free pass, the lady at guest services said yes as even though he is under the age of 3 to get in free anyway, the offer is open to children under the age of 7.

Really happy as we are planning to go another 4 or 5 times to take advantage of the passes, not to mention the amount of money we saved on stroller hire, merchandise and food.

So if any of you are going before Nov, when I believe this offer ends, and are getting annual passes for yourselves and have children that are almost 3, take advantage of this offer, as I think most people are under the impression that your child has to be 3 but under 7 to get the free pass.

Hope this helps some people save some money:thumbsup2

P.S You will still need proof of I.D for little one, Passport, birth certificate etc

I've seen a few threads on this topic and everyone has always said that your child has to be 3 to get a pass.

I'm planning to buy my passes on Saturday. 2 Adults and 2 children (2 & 4). So this is good news.

By the way can anyone direct me to the Passport office. I can't see on the map.

Yes, go to guest services, which is on the right hand side as you walk towards DLH, and purchase passes there. They will give you temporary passes so you can get into the park.

Then go to the Annual Pasport office which is to the right of the castle as if you were going towards Discoveryland where they will take your details and take all your photos for the passes and give you your permanant passes.

I think everyone has always said that because some DISers had tried to obtain the APs for their under 3s and been refused on the grounds that under 3s were free.

Thanks for sharing the news that you've managed to obtain one, let's hope others can too. :goodvibes

Ok this is fab news for me, I may even consider not taking my buggy now.

Sorry, but I don't see the point in a child who goes free having a free pass. Maybe different if they are almost three that they will give you an AP for free but certainly would be no use for Kacee who is only 18 months old.

Well Kyra is 3 in 6 weeks so i think its a great offer for me :) but for a 18month old then its not i guess.

Let's hope you get it then, I'd quite like for Kacee to have the card though, that'd be cool. Something for him to show the grandparents who are already jelous that he is going!

Yeah, i'm going to enquire about it before i decide weather to purchase it or not.

Its 179 euros Emma, Fantasy is 129 euros.

can you get a free fantasy pass for the kids or is it only applicable to the dream pass?

I think its for both, if you buy a Fantasy then the child will get the same. Having said that The dream has more benefits to it.

I think we will get the dream ones. Probably put it on the Credit card till then pay that off when i get home.

So are you going again to DLRP after January next year then Emma?
Kyra's AP will only last one year from when you get it, and you can't sponsor on hers as it will be free. So her AP will expire in September 09.

If you buy one for you, you could sponsor on that one - but I don't know what the sponsor deals will be after November this year (they change them every so often). So if you don't get enough sponsors on yours to extend it, yours will also only last until September 09.

Will you make enough back on discounts on shopping and eating to justify 179 euros outlay, in one year (especially if you're not intending going back after January 09 for a while)?

Well if i get the Dream or fantasy pass then i'll prob go in the Summer for 2 days or something, or in September for a week before it expires and stay offsite.

So I should make good use of it, hopefully will fit in a day trip or two aswell lol.
