Free admission to Univesal?

I heard from a friend that Universal is providing free admission to its theme parks to police... you just need to show ID at the gate. They are apparently are also giving family members 50% off admission as well... can anyone confirm this? Thanks !

go to the Universalorlando.com website and in the lower left hand side click on heroes salute and it will give you all the details....I believe this ends 4/30/02.
