Free admission for Orlando residents?

I just got an e-mail from a friend of mine, she wants some Disney tips from me because she is finally going to Disney over Labor Day weekend. I was a little concerned with her e-mail, because she mentioned being able to get in free because her friend lives in Orlando. I cautioned her that that may be wrong. I do not have any info on free admission for Orlando residents. I know FLA has a discounted rate, but free? I would hate for her to go down there with a certain budget, only to find out they have to buy tickets anyway. Plus, buying the tickets at the gate is more money then paying for them ahead of time.

Anyone have info on this? I really don't want this to be a moral debate of her getting in because she is not from Orlando. (That is not my business) My job is to help her out with itineraries, and character meals, ect. I would just hate for her to get hit with an unexpected payment.

I live in the Orlando area and am not aware of any free admission for residents. There are different park tickets available but nothing that is free.

Perhaps her friend or someone they know works at WDW and is getting them some passes?

Maybe her friend is a castmember? They can get friends & family in free.

That was my thought too. There is Definetly NO free addmission for Orlando residence. But Cast Members get tickets for their friends and family to go free. Perhaps her firend is a CM or knows a CM that is willing to get them in... but Orlando residence pay to get in just like everyone else.
