Free 1 day water park on arrival

We fly in from the west coast but usually take a red eye. I. The past, fore the offered this perk for 2025, we would change, check our bags with Nell services and then head to a water park to “rest”. Our kids would do the slides while we cat napped in the loungers. We’d head out as
soon as our room was ready.

This works well for us. We ended up getting a great deal on flights but we land in mco at 11:00pm. Our wdw resort wasn’t available on this night so we booked a hotel near mco. Our plan is to go to the wdw resort first thing in the morning, check our bags and head to the water park! Looks to work out well!

Pass for me. Public pools and water parks skeeve me out.

We live just south of Atlanta and have a 6 hour drive to WDW. For our March trip, we are considering driving down the day before and spending the night in Flamingo Crossings before our official trip the next day. That is if the weather is warm enough to use the perk.
This is similar to our plan. We live in NE Alabama (9ish hour drive) so we plan to drive down to probably Gainesville or Ocala, stop for the night and drive into WDW the next morning. Swing by the hotel to check in and then spending late morning/afternoon at a water park. We already had Sat - Sat booked so just bumping up our drive by a day to take advantage and split the drive up.

Same! As do public hot tubs (I was a health inspector in a resort town for a summer and had to do pool/hot tub inspections - yuck!). I will use a Disney resort pool, they are very good about checking water quality. They hire specific CM's to monitor pool chemical levels (or whatever is used in the water). I do prefer the less crowded quiet pools! But still a no on public hot tubs.

Anyone know what happens if the water park closes due to weather?
The terms and conditions from the website say there is no replacement but we don’t have actual experience reported yet so I’m waiting for that. Sometimes Disney holds to their T&Cs but often times they make adjustments for folks (like extending cancellations or allowing early check-outs in extenuating circumstances, or when a holiday party goes horribly awry and they offer people recovery tickets).

Absolutely nothing. They do nothing.
I take it you’ve seen actual reports from people who experienced a closed water park on their check-in day and asked Disney if they were offering alternatives? Or are you just parroting the terms and conditions?

I didn't ask, but I checked in on a day waterparks were closed and nothing was communicated to us at check in about a replacement.

This is our plan too.
We arrive Sat at 10pm -sleep at the Hyatt Mco
Sun- drive to BC and check in/ head to water park at opening
Tuesday- check out of BC/ drop bags at Fort Wilderness to check in/ head to water park until cabin is ready.

We haven’t been to the waterparks yet so my kids will be very excited. We are doing a week long trip but only one park day so this works very well. Traveling in June

Has BB even been closed yet? It’s only been 5 days. We were there the 1st. Genuine question, I know it was colder a few of those days but hadn’t seen the usual blog posts I see when BB closes, but could have missed it.

I saw on wdwmagic that it closed for the day on January 4th due to low temps.

In addition to closing on Saturday, January 4th expect BB to close multiple (2-3) times in the next 7 days.

It would be nice if they offered a round of mini golf if the Waterparks were closed due to cold, if nothing else. Disney is touting this as a new benefit, but if you can't use it during your arrival day it really isn't.

I saw somewhere that they let people go once during their stay when water park closed on checkin day. I have no idea where I saw this so it is definitely not verified by me

We will use this on our check in day in March as long as our flight is on time.

It will be a nice perk at no added cost (mickey math, right? :rotfl: )
