Fred & George Weasley spotted at WWHP today (6/8)!!!

My family and I were waiting in line for the FOTH at 3:15pm today and we discovered a video crew was filming the same group of people riding the Hippogriff ride over and over. The line came to a stand still. Wamp, wamp.

Before we had a chance to become disgruntled, my 10-year old daughter said, "Look! It's Fred and George Weasley in front of the roller coaster." Sure enough, there they were (well, actually it was James & Oliver Phelps, the actors who play Fred & George in the HP movies). We spread the word around the line and then a fellow queue stander yelled, "Hey, Weasleys!" and they both turned around.

They stood around for a few minutes signing autographs and having their pictures taken with fans and then POOF! they disapparated. Well, suddenly they were gone.

Now for the cool part. My wife overheard a member of the video crew say something about shooting another commercial tomorrow (6/9/11). Just to be perfectly clear, we have no idea if that means the Weasleys will be back tomorrow or if they're shooting in another part of IOA. But either way, if you're headed to WWHP Thursday, you just might be in for a treat.

Sorry, I just assumed everyone knew that Harry Potter's best friend in the books and movies is Ron Weasley. My bad. Ron has two older brothers, Fred and George. The actors who play his brothers were at the Wizarding World today.

i had no idea who those peeps were until i read your post.

i'm not a parry hotter follower but i did do that section of the park and got my butterbeer.....

not into the movies of it or the books but i enjoyed the FJ ride tremendously!
the movement of the ride is awesome.
especially when you are leaning back.
what you see during that ride wasn't much for me.
the props didn't do anything for me to enhance the ride.

and the butterbeer besides FJ was another winner for me...............

It's good to see some of the other actors in HP being to cash in a little bit on their roles.

You read how the big 3 are all rich now, I wish all the other actor well.

We saw those boys YEARS ago...it was right after the second movie came out, I think. Or maybe the first. They were still kids.

DH and I were staying in a hotel, and it happened to be hosting some sort of fantasy convention, and everyone was talking about how the Weasley twins were there for the convention. I thought it was silliness till I saw them walk through the dining room we were eating dinner in


This was just a small hotel in a low key, non-touristy area of northeast Massachusetts. It was very surreal.

I was there yesterday and saw them too! It was my first time in Wizarding World of Harry Potter and it was a treat to get to see them filming!!

Not sure if this is true but people were saying the rest of the cast is going to be there on the one year anniversary..Not sure if it is true it was just going around.

MrSteve, I knew who you meant right away. Thanks for the update and xApril thanks for the picture. Very cool for anyone who was there, what an awesome surprise.

We leave in one week and can't wait to experience HP and all of Universal Studios and IOA.
