HRH, it 'sounds' funny to 'hear' you refer to us as "Yankees"

Anything north of South Carloina is a yankee to me..now..have I told you that I am originally from the Detroit area..I can't remember WHAT I've told people...so if I did just chalk it up to dementia on my part.

I am a damn yankee.

A yankee comes south, then goes back up north. A DAMN yankee stays..

Where are all my freap pals?

OMG, it's already Sunday and almost 10 pm!!! We've been de cluttering all weekend and we moved DD room to the "playroom" that used to be my studio B.C. (B.C.=Before Children) It is by far one of the best rooms in the house. She now has her bed in the turet with 4 big windows all around her and she has my mom's (actually my great aunt and uncle's) antique bedroom set.

She said that she feels like she sleeping in a hotel room...

It's very cute thought. I still have to put the finishing touches up - I have all of these sweet little fairy decals and pictures to put up, some shelves and these two really cool "leaf" canopes over her bed (she doesn't know about any of this stuff - it will be a surprise )

Anyhow that's where I have been.

I haven't forgotten about our freap meet. Kellie, your surgery is on the 15th, and the following weekend is school vacation, which brings us to YIKES , March 1st or 2nd...

How does that work for everyone? Or Kellie, if you think you need some distracting

we could do it earlier (even next weekend if you want)

Back from vacation- had a wonderful time- however, I somehow hurt my back while in Mexico on Thursday and I still cannot sit up straight- pretty much I can lay flat or stand up.

Went to hotel doc 12:30am Sat morning- yes, the morning we were going home- shot me up with 2 anti-inflammatories- no relief.

Spent 5 hours in the ER yesterday, got a CT scan, urinalysis- blood work-all negative for kidney stones. They shot me up with morphine and Toridol- neither helped! They then gave me a Valium for the spasms- and yay! that worked- but the doc did not want to give me a rx for Valium b/c he was already giving me a rx for Motrin, Percocet and Flexeril- too many narcotics. UGH- why cant he give me what worked for me!?

Needless to say- I am just a tad bit loopy!

Called my boss to tell her I cannot sit very well to work. She put me in the schedule to get a MRI at our facility tomorrow night.

Oh my gosh, Madd! So, so sorry to hear all this! I hate being in pain!! But, I am glad you made it back safely from your vacation and we all sure hope the rest of the trip was restful for you guys!

Let us know how the MRI goes and we look forward to hearing about your trip when you are feeling much, much better!

Glad you are home Madd, sucks that you've got back pain. It's the worst. Can't you have trade in your scripts/drugs to your Doc and have him write you a script for the Vallium? I mean that just doesn't make any sense at all...

I mean I had to go thru about a billion anti depressants before I found one that worked (can you imagine "Sorrry Mrs. Kay but we've already written you too many prescriptions for other stuff, so we can give you what works...)

Hey, want me to talk to your Doc for you...

Really thought - ask if you can trade in your other meds for something that works. It's just not OK to be in so much pain.

Hi Madd Welcome Back - sorry to hear you came back not so well. Hopefully you drank LOTS of margarita's before your pain started I really hope you feel better, I can imagine how uncomfortable you must feel.

Hope your feeling better soon! And I agree with pp, see if you can exchange your meds for something that will give you relief. No sense in feeling loopy and still in pain
